Warning to others
Be careful using Intellius to look up phone numbers. It's only 95 cents for the phone number, but they also sign you up for an identification protection service on a monthly basis. YOU ONLY HAVE 7 DAYS TO CANCEL THE SERVICE. The company does provide accurate phone numbers, but just be careful about their other services.

A charge
This company took $19.95 and said they couldnt give the money back, saying they dont refund money, well i talk to my lawyer and they are sueing them now, because they do this everytime and i had some friends who had some money taking out of there accounts. I think we should find away to get this company closed for good so they cant take money from anyone else.

This is an unauthorized charge and I want it removed.

unauthorized charge
Was charged a $21.59 fee without authorization from these people. Called to find out what the charge was for and they said they no record of my cedit card number on file. Nothing they can do for me. they are BOGUS!

UNAUTHORIZED
I have never asked from anyone an ID protection plan. How they received my name and VISA no. I have no idea. I check my statements every month, this is bogus. They are out of WA, their phone no. is 877 974-1563. I just receive my new statement for 10-09. I will be calling my VISA person on Mon. and letting them know I will not be paying this bogus bill. Thank you. m.stringham

Unauthorized credit card charge
I was shocked to see the charge knowing I had only made one purchase that month. The charge was made to 'Intelius People Search' for a promotional $.99 cent basic address and phone search. The catch is that to get this $.99 search you agree to their terms. Those terms are a subscription (monthly) to their ID Protection Plan for $19.95 that can and must be canceled in seven days to get the search for $.99. Displayed as a special offer you select no but don't realize that selecting the $.99 search signs you up for the ID Protection Plan. NICE LITTLE SCAM that is perfectly legal. It is my fault for not studying the layout a bit more. All you can do is to call the number I listed in this complaint, when prompted to select a number for specific options press 5 and that will connect you to a service rep. Be pissed, tell them how sneaky the whole bit was and demand that they cancel your subscription now! They will not credit your credit card charge, because after all you did make a choice and it was to try to get something for next to nothing. Truth is it cost a few bucks more than the regular search price.
A few million suckers and that's 10 plus million dollars profit last month alone. I think " If it's to good to be true... You know the rest.

Unathorized Credit Card Charges
A charge for $19.95 showed up on my September statement and I just realized it was charged again in October, these transactions were not authorized by me, watch out for this. Now I have to fight the charges to get my back!

Intelius
If you are scammed by Intelius or any of its many front companies such as INT IDPROTECT MNTR SVC, please contact your state attorney general, complain to your credit card company and consider forming a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT.
Lawyers like Stanley Chesley, esq can make dogfood out of slimey companies that steal your money and consume your time. Do not be passive.
