bad medical care
Back in 2005 I passed out in front of 99 Restaruant in Stratford resulting in 5 staples in the back of my head. In the ambulance I had a blood sugar of 23 and in Milford Hospital ER my blood sugar was taken and registered 26. Everyone seemed amazed that I was coherent and talking. I am not a diabetic and never have been. I called my PCP to make a follow up appointment to get my staples out and find the cause of my passing out. I was told my doctor was going on vacatiion and couldn't see me. I asked about another doctor in the practice since their are 5 other docotors, no one could see me. I explained I had a head injury, passed out and a blood sugar that ranged from 23-26, no one could still see me and I was told to go back to the ER and have them remove my staples. I asked how that was deteremining why I passed out, and said I would be notifying my health insurance company and let them know about the patient care I was receiving. Well later that day I received a call from them and they had an appointment available for me with my PCP. Amazing how calls to insurance companies produce results. Well he couldn't find anything wrong with me, blood work came back fine, he then sent me to his "friend" who is a neurologist who performed tests on me. While waiting for my results a month later I passed out again. Went back to the doctors, no seizures, brain is fine, we don't know why you keep passing out. They wrote it off. A specialist who I see yearly, reccommended that I see a cardiologist. Well the cardiologist found out why I pass out and it's a medical condition that when I am dehydrated it takes 9 minutes for me to pass out. So when I went to the PCP's office to pick up my medical records 6 months later, they released my records without me providing any id to prove that it was actually me picking up my medical records. I contacted my insurance company and reported a violation of my HIPPAA rights. As a I have said before 5 other family memebers have all seen doctors at this practice and have been dissappointed in the medical care that they "provide". I have since found a wonderful Medical Group with many highly qualified doctors.

Bad medical care
A doctor from the practice likes to play cardiologist and prescribe medications that resulted in my 81 year old Grandfather being admitted to Milford Hopsital via the ER, for Congestive Heart Failure, due to a build up of fluid caused by the doctor writing a prescription that causes fluid retention. My grandfather has a cardiologist that he sees regularly so there is NO reason for this Primary Care Physican to be prescribing heart medication. Once again this doctor prescribed heart medication and I made an appointment with my Grandfather's cardiologist and explained that the PCP likes to think he is a cardiologist and someone needs to put him in his place. The cardiologist took my Grandfather off the medication and explained that he had shared this information with the PCP. I know 5 of my family members have been patients at this practice and have all left due to bad medical care. I too have had a real life threatening experience and will share that in my next complaint. Please beware especially with our eldery loved ones who believe everything the doctor says. My Grandfather came close to death all because a doctor likes to prescribe medication and play in a field he has no speciality in.
