Today (1/13/2009) I recieved what appears to be a scam after doing an Internet investigation into the company. This was not delivered via E-Mail, but by U.S. Mail, which as I am to understand is a Federal Crime.
In this letter they are claiming that I am a winning recipient of $2, 500, 00 (actually they say in excess of); in order to "claim" this prize I am to send them $20.00 in the form of check, cash or money order.
On the back of the letter (which sadly I'm sure that many hopefuls don't read they are completely contradicting what is stated on the face of the "Award Account Notification". On the face it also states the following statement: "Upon receipt in our offices, your paperwork will go into final completion for your immediate access to the reported total $2, 500, 00.00 dollars in cash and prize opportunites which is 100% guaranteed to be paid by independent sponsors, per rules and regulation on overse. Make your name and address are correct to insure prompt delivery."
They claim to be an "Independent research and reporting service that provides subscribers with a publication detailing the offical rules and regulations for access to and entry in current national prize draws, lotteries, contests, , and/or games of chance (herein after referred to as the "promotions") offered and run by various corportae adn/or independent sponsors. It then goes on to notify that this is "not a winners notice". They state as well that this "publication is only provided to subscribers for a fee.
