I am an attorney in Seattle who represents a client who invested with IFT. I have been asked to try and get his money back. Anyone who has a similar report to others who have reports of losing money with this company should call me so that we can share information. If you have hired a lawyer I would like to speak with that lawyer. We are interested in pursuing this and if we join together to track down these investments it can work.

We invested with International Finance and Trust in Sept 09. We were told by 3 different individuals and in writing our Investment was protected by an insurance policy. After months and months of supposed busted trades and being told the money is being wired to the paymaster (it NEVER shows up and we are NEVER paid) we have been trying to get our investment back. We have been told that potential new Investors with them are being told we are just a lone disgruntled Investor and they are working to get our money back. Yes, we are disgruntled. We are disgruntled because the Trades are either not performing or has NEVER been to trade and we have been suckered. We are also disgruntled because we were purposely mislead to believe that our Investment would ALWAYS be protected. The Insurance Policy does NOT protect our Investment nor was it ever meant to. We firmly believe the longer this thread remains the more disgruntled investors will start to post their stories here.

Our actual story is as follows:

We invested 50k back in Sep 09. We were informed by steve Benders and Bryan Smith that our investment was protected by an insurance policy (AIG policy) so our investment would always be protected. The investment was to have a payout in 6 weeks, with monthly payouts after that. We were part of Trade 2, Trade 1 had started several months prior to ours. It didn't take long to realize that neither Trade 1 or Trade 2 was getting any payouts. We kept hearing the trade had closed and the money was being sent to the paymaster. This would go on for weeks. Then, out of the blue we would be told that the trade was a bust! The contradictions they were stating were absolutely mind boggling. By December we asked for our return back (after another busted trade). Although the JV Agreement was a 13 month contract, we had emails and verbal communication that we could get our investment back at anytime. All of a sudden they couldn't return our money so we retained an Attorney. Our Attorney forwarded the correspondence with their Attorney showing they agreed in writing to return our Investment. Their Attorney Agreed and said IF&T would return our money. We gave them several more weeks because the money was "on the way to the paymaster as usual" and again nothing happened. By this time we had also discovered the "insurance policy" they mentioned does not protect our investment. During a phone Call with Julie Holden in late December she actually told us that Kurt Hamilton informed her to just tell the Investors we are exercising the policy and it will take another 30 days. I told Julie at that time we knew the policy didn't offer that kind of protection. She completely ignored my comment and wouldn't comment about it further. Also, earlier in mid October 2009 Bryan Smith posted on the message board regarding trade 1 that they could exercises the Insurance bond if they needed to but didn't feel it necessary at that point. It became obvious to us they will tell us anything to string us along hoping eventually we will just give up and go away.


They are obviously operating business as usual and we want to get the information out there to stop them!
