My name is Krystal Verdun with Project KIVC and I have been studying the indigenous communities in Mexico and the Maldives for almost 15 years. During that time I witnessed the local indigenous communities being taken advantage of by the hotel industries with false lies and deceptions.
I decided to start Krystal's KIVC - Complaints about the hotel industry and vacationers.
If you have been to a tropical destination, chances are the place you visited was once a fishing village with grass huts. It's now filled with multi-million dollar hotels on beachfront property staffed by locals (the ones who can speak english are the ones we see while vacationing).
Krystal's KIVC is set up to help the indigenous peoples fight back against the scams and frauds that the hotel tells on a daily basis. If you have ever been on a timeshare tour, you understand the types of people that work for these hotels, which are sometimes timeshares (coincidentally).
I studied the communities most hit by the economic boom tourist dollars started bringing to these once small villages. Krystal's KIVC is intended to stop the international vacation club of large hotel chains, and eradicate these money hungry hoteliers.
Krystal's KIVC - Complaints about the scam and fraud is more about the systematic use of the locals as a form of cheap labor, rarely paying as much as 10% of what labor costs if the hotel was in the US, Canada, Western Europe, or many other developed nations.
Krystal's KIVC - The lawsuit to defend the villagers in a small Maldives community as a morally corrupt multi-national corporation begins to illegally build on spiritual land.
