My name is Barbara J. Rogers. Last night I responded to an email from Walmart regarding a $1000 gift card. I followed all the instructions and selected 2 "offers", as required. Today I received a call from my bank telling me that there possibly had been a fraudulent charge to my debit card. The agent told me that there was one from an International Tea company for $40.00!!! When I made my selection last night it was advertised as "free shipping" with a nominal $2.00 charge for a sample of 2 kinds of tea. I would NEVER have paid $40.00 for any tea - EVER. I am a disabled senior citizen on a fixed income and I don't even have $40.00 in the bank! I love Walmart and am a frequent shopper. I was there yesterday, in fact. Could you please check into this for me? Right now there is a hold on my account and I'm going to have to leave it that way until this dispute is settled. My email address is: [email protected] Perhaps you don't know that some of the advertisers are dishonest, and that's sad because Walmart has such a good reputation.
Thank you,
Barbara J. Rogers
