I got a call from US Online American Group (USOAG) on March 8, 2010, when asked, saying they got my number from a work at home list that goes out to all when you sign up that you are looking for work at home. (Be careful with what you sign up for) So, I thought that was legitimate.
Basically they sell you websites to advertise companies (Dish Network and Direct TV), and try and get people to go through your websites and order through you! I ask how would I do this and they said I would have a coach to work with me and they would never leave me out in the dark. (LIE) I knew Dish and Direct TV were legitimate companies so it sounded good and knew they had incentives to get you to sign people up. Even though I ask questions, they always had an answer. To make a long story short, my story is similar to many others. I signed up that day for the discounted rate of $59.98t and 19.99/mo for a year. They said they would have a personal coach contact me when I got back. The only coach was another sales person, Richard who contacted me on March 30 and talked me into the Level 3 Advertising Campaign which would give me the bonus comparison website for 12 months free, at the promotional rate of $6100.00 (would only have to sell 4.06/month to pay for itself and would get the bonus comparison website for 12 months) I tried checking them out but really didn't know how. Even though I told them I was trying to get out of debt and could not do this, he continued to talk and tell me that this would be more advertisement than I could ever do on my own. I got sucked into putting it on my credit card because he said, “Put in on your card and then pay it off before the bill comes due.” It would pay for itself. If it didn’t, I would need to contact them and they would run it for another year absolutely free. To date there has been no sales out of 16, 200+ supposedly hit on my sight with their so called professional advertising. They sent me some e-mails various thing but have never taught how put it on the web.
THIS IS A SCAM. Do NOT even talk to them. If you do you might be convinced and get talked into it. I thought maybe it would work if I knew how to advertize myself but if there so called professional advertisements can’t get a sale after 16, 200+ hits, how are the few I will do. Also now that I have contacted the companies we are supposedly affiliates for I know why we aren’t getting any sales.
I have contacted Dish Network and was told by a representative at Dish Network that they were not affiliated with USOAG that he could find. I ask him about my promo code and he said you don’t need that because that is what they are offering everyone. After explaining a little bit, he told me to send in an e-mail to [email protected] and a troubleshooting team would look at it. He also told me to report it to the Better Business Bureau so they could research it or I might want to get in touch with the local TV Station to have them broadcast it. I looked it up on the BBB website and it says to try to resolve things with the company first.
I just contacted DIRECTV customer service and ask her about my promotion code and she said it was coming up EXPIRED. The more I look into this on my own, the more I know that it is a scam. She got her supervisor and she could not find that they were associated with USOAG. She gave me the address of the Office of the President and told me to send him a letter. If any of you need to know that address and would like to contact them, let me know. Maybe we can get them to help us get these guys.
I am sending an e-mail also to [email protected] addressed to Mr. Scott Read or Mr. Lance Tyrner, who were listed on the BBB website, giving them 24 hours to contact me or I will go to authorities and report it all over. So I may need help if any of you are game.
I hope this helps anyone out there that is dealing with the same problem or is contacted by them. Don’t do it.
