watch out! there is an email floating around. the email disguises itself as being an accident that u got it. the person starts talking about someone named jessica, and does an "oh, yeah" moment, like she had forgotten to email jessica sooner about how she can get a 'free ipad'. this email has a link in it. NEVER CLICK A LINK IN AN EMAIL, ESPECIALLY FROM SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW. delete this email. the subject on it reads "yahoo auto response", as if it is from yahoo, which will cause people to open the mail. then, the scammer tries to get u to believe u received this email by accident, and that it was inteded for someone named jessica, learning how to get a free ipad. the scammer hopes that u will fall for it and want to get in on the scam as well.
The email reads as following:
"My apologies, I left from my computer for a while! I took my i pad tho! It is perfect! I'll try to write you when I return to my desk.
If this is Jessica, I apologize I had to leave the convo so soon. I did find you the link to free ipad on the site! You just enter your e-mail.. It took 4 weeks and it was sent to fedex."
The scammer proceed to put a link at the end of the message that I will not replicate. i know for a fact it is a scam, and am concerned it will put a virus on the computer if anyone follows it.
