I am Theodore Noring. I boarded DL 140 from JFK to Brussels on May 26 8:00 pm local time from gate 05. The flight leutenant announced that somebody left a phone at the boarding area. I heard this announcement but I never thought that was mine because my phone was in my lap top bag. I noticed my phone was not in the bag at the boarding area at Brussels. That is when I remembered that I took my lap top from the bag while waiting for departure but did not take notice of the phone dropping from the bag.
