I bought a 2008 Toyota Scion XB from IRA Toyota back in 2008, $22, 800.00 brand new had 7 miles on it. My problems started with an issues of the braking system. This car was bought commericaly for my small business. The car would not stop in a 1/4 inch of snow, the car would do a slide skid instead. I had a scarry evening in the first snow that fall. I brought the car back to the IRA Toyta and left it there for a month! The special techs came frm corporate Toyota in Califorina, checked out my XB Box and said it was fine and recommended "Better" tires for the NewEngland weather. After leaving the car at the Dealer for about a month, IRA Toyota told me if I don't pick up the car, the'll tow it off the lot in a tresspass tow. That was about 11000 miles.
We had a blown transmission at 22000 called roadside assistance, and Toyota roadside assistance said I wasn't covered for towing! The car wasn't getting there advertised 28 - 30 MPGs, We got about 19MPG and 23MPG after the transmission was replaced. Now I bought a extra Servive warrentee when we bought this car originally. The extra warrentee was about $4000.00 and should have covered me until 100, 000 miles. After the transmission was replaced, and a few normal oil change sections went by. We started having an
"oil consumption" issue. When I complained and said "I would have never bought this car if I knew it had an oil burnning problems. That's when the service manager took me in his small office and told me to read the "Service Manual". My $23, 800 Manual says "This car can use up to ONE LITER OF OIL IN 5000 MILES. The Service manager said this car is in correct and working "Standards" To what "Toyota Standards" are.
So my one year old car at that point was consumming about six quarts of oil every 5000 miles. Every time I filled the up with gas (about every other day) I was putting two quarts of New oil in. IRA didn't see the consumming oil issues, because I didn't bring the car into the dealer everytime it needed oil, which would have been every other day, for only IRA Toyota service to toss the owners manual at me and saying everything is in working order to "Toyota's Standards".
Now there is a Fededral Investagation going on Now on "OIL CONSUMPTION". Beacuse no one should go through what we have gone through. I challange anyone or everyone to look at there Service Manual and look and see what your Toyota, Scion, or Lexus says in the Service Manual, it is totally shocking! Toyota Standards are totally in question!
I have taken a loss this year for $23, 800 plus my advetising vinal lettering, time. I think Toyota and Toyota Bi- Products should be banned from the USA until they correct there "Standards
We have a pending Class action Law Suite on FaceBook under Toyota. Please find us on Facebook tell me your stories and sign up to my causes, and Join the fight to stop this Oil Consumption Issues and ripping off the American people. I lost the car earlier this year, because Corporate Toyota does not have an
Commerical Arbortration Program for when problems occure. I disagree that the company that was fiancing my car can sell me a $23800 car and then there is no ARBORTRATION, just because we are a small business doesn't mean we don't have any rights! We'll be seeing you in FEDERAL COURT SOON,
IRA Corporation, Toyota Corporation & Scion Corporation!
No new cars built today should be using any oil, consumming, burning, it's just inexcusable! buy American!!!
