Liars and Frauds
I don't think I've ever seen such blatant liars and cheats! My first (and only) order arrived with missing pieces. I phoned them immediately and a really rude boy answered the phone. He refused to issue a pick up, make it right or even try to address the issue. And can you believe this? He told me "You should've known better". Huh??? Guess he was having his period that day so I asked for a supervisor. He said he'd have one call me. No supervisor called. I disputed credit card and when they responded to the dispute, they said I hadn't called them within the required 3 business days after receipt. That's an outright lie!!! 3 business days? I phoned them 10 minutes later! These people are the lowest of the low and their 'customer service' people are ignorant of customer service, dishonest, and I sincerely doubt their 'customer service' boy is even a person. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE THIEVES. I'm also lodging an official complaint about them with Master Card / Visa because they should know this is a crooked merchant.

Very Poor Service
I ordered two items from Ira Woods ($150+), was charged for the items, but did not receive anything. Email requests for order status updates went unanswered. After almost TWO MONTHS, I filed a request with PayPal to help resolve the issue (since I still wanted the items). Ira Woods STILL would not respond.

Finally, I was forced to file a formal claim for a refund through PayPal. They forced Ira Woods to refund my money. What's up with sellers like this?

Hooray for PayPal!!! SHAME on Ira Woods.

I do a LOT of shopping online and this is the worst I have ever experienced.

DO NOT shop at Ira Woods. If you choose to even after all the complaints, use PayPal and file your claim within the time allowed. Don't expect any customer service or products.

The worst customer sevice I ever seen.
This company has a return policy that is the worst I ever seen in my 30 years of shopping. If they even have a return policy at all. Most times it looks like they refuse to accept returns. Here is how it works. The returns that they do accept they will charge you half the price of the item. They will not ship an equall product unless you pay full price for that item again. Also you will be charged all shipping costs. The costs that were charged to ship to you and the costs back to them. If you add it all up you wind up paying an average of 70 percent the cost for an item you don't even have. I have also seen other complaints that damaged items are shipped and the scam is in their favor. With a return policy like that the odds are damaged items would be shipped. Put 2+2 together and think long and hard before you purchase anything from Ira Woods. If money is not an object than please donate your favorite charity before ordering and brushing it off because they will get you.

billedm credit card and wont ship
I ordered a knife on 10-14-10. They billed my credit card the very next day, but it's been 10 days and they haven't even shipped it. The item was said to be in stock so I'm concerned whether or not I am going to receive my merchandise. They had no trouble collecting the money but seem to be taking their time on sending out my order.

Poor Customer Service Response
The product I received was of sufficient quality and was shipped timely, but, unfortunately for me, I did not realize that it was inadequate until it arrived. I called the company to arrange a return and after speaking with three representatives on three separate occasions to question why I had not received the return instructions, I was finally informed in a dismissive manner that the item did not qualify for return because it is a food-preparation item - even though it remained in the original shrinkwrap.

It took three phone calls for someone to reference a policy reason for their denial and point me to an obscure location on their web site. My problem with this was that I encountered no language regarding a return policy or return restrictions as I completed the ordering process, which would have been appropriate if the item fell within a select group subjected to return restrictions. This merchant makes a point of confuscating the online shopping experience by hiding or not providing the relevant information and places all burdens and responsibilities on the consumer.

I will never order from them again but should you decide to place an order with them, be 100% sure this is the item you want; the merchant will not accommodate you if there is a problem.

Customer Service
I placed an order for a Franke hood after verbal assurance that the item was in stock at Franke and I could expect delivery within 2 weeks. Now, one month later, I have no hood and Ira Woods has no idea when the item will ship. Worse, they take neither responsibility nor any action. The irony is that I placed the order at Ira Woods despite a $300 higher price, which I was willing to pay for excellent service. You cannot trust or depend on these folks, and their higher pricing buys the customer NOTHING.

Ships defective and damaged products
This company shipped me a $600 damaged and defective item and REFUSED TO RETURN OR REPLACE IT! I am out over $600. This company has engaged in a fraud and has deliberate shipped a badly damaged product to me then just washed their hands of it. DO NOT ORDER FROM IRAWOODS & SONS (irawoods.com). STAY AWAY
