First I wold like to say that while this website perform a valuable service, ultimately no adverse action will come against this company unless people lodge complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Follows is the complaint I submitted against Ironwood Communications with the local BBB: Summary Line: Failure to show for 4 scheduled apts, failure to return 14 phone calls over 6-day period, failure to respond to 3 e-mails requesting status of install.

Complaint Description: When contracted by DirectTV to perform install service failed to show for 4 scheduled appointments. Rescheduled another apt due to poor weather, however did not call until after scheduled window for service had expired. During 6 day period 14 phone calls were made to parent company requesting status of scheduled appointments and status of service. None of these phone calls were returned by Ironwood Communications. The parent company was unable to contact this company on more than 20 phone calls and 3 e-mails. At one point, this company hung up on parent company and did not answer phone on immediate attempt to re-establish contact (per Ivy, customer service rep from parent company). Was placed on hold for 3 hours and 46 minutes during this customer service disaster. DirectTV rep, Ariel, said she has received numerous complaints concerning this company. When service was finally completed technician was rude and did not perform service correctly. When contacted to return to perform install satisfactorily was told no work order was required, however after final no show was told by a different rep that a work order from DirectTV was required. When installer showed up this time, we finally received a courteous, knowledgeable, and competent installer.

Resolution Sought: Nothing. There is nothing Ironwood Communications can do to rectify this customer service debacle. I have also lodged a complaint with the President of DirectTV, but I'm realistic enough to realize nothing will happen from that. It is my hope that more people will confront this company and expose its impotent business practices.
