Didnt recieve my full service. Missing one reciever.
I signed up to recieve 4 reciever boxes for my house and the installer only installed 3 and said my exsisting cable was too old to send signal. So instead of running new line he told me i had to do it and call when it was done and they would come back and install my fourth box. Now that i have remodeled my basement i called direct tv and they are tryin to charge me $80 for a new install even though i was suppose to have this box anyways. Now im tryin to get ahold of you the installer.

personal remarks on service report
3/24/2009 8:30 - 9:ooa.m. Dale Hardin arrived on time Started off with the work was not scheduled correctly, because he needed to add a new Disc and did not want to, but stated me needed all new wires and had to move the old disc and that the new disc needed to be in a different place. I HAVE DELT WITH THEM BEFORE IN 2003 AND THEY HAD TO RUN ALL NEW WIRES THEN TOO!! And also the work order then was also incorrect according to Ironwoods They kicked my little doggie and hurt her and I told Direct TV that I did not want them back!! Last night when we were scheduling the upgrade for today I stated NO IRONWOODS COMMUNICATIONS!!! But the direct tv person stated they would write out not to touch or hurt my dog and I against my better judg.Afement I agreed to have them come and do just 2 receivers. After many complaints and calls to DirectTV he did his small job. But he is the problem, on the service report Where DirectTV included to be nice to me and my doggie. This is what Dale Hardin wrote on the work order, verbatim, Support HD installed Stupid people can not make correct work orders, so this is a comfirmation # is for the disc change FGD1251 and signed Dale Hardin 57992. I do not want them ever back in my house, which when I return home after he left my sliding glass door was uplocked and wide open and I can not prove what is missing, except my doggie got out and I could not find her for several hours. Are you All this Ignorant? Cause 3 times it not a charm. Direct TV you need to hire your own employees or at least bondable and trust worthly, and have your customer be #1 always, I love Direct TV but this is a deal breaker, get rid of IRONWOODS COMMUNICATIONS OR LOOSE CUSTOMERS TRAIN YOUR OWN PERSONEL THAT HAVE YOU CUSTOMERS AS NUMBER ONE. Installation
Installer placed satellite dish on wrong area of building after being told it could not be on the roof. They came back and moved it but it cost me $375.00 to repair roof. I asked for reimbursment and received no response from company. They do not respond to complaints nor insure their work. Direct TV should find another company to place their dish as I believe this impacts them as well.

Ironwood suck
Well, let me start off with the fact that Ironwood called me and told me the tech would be here on Tue. @ 4 to install. I was here and he never showed. Not even a courtesy call to say he wasn't showing. I waited until 7 and then called DTV directly. They tried to get in touch with the dispatcher to find out where he was but they never picked. I was on the phone for an 1 1/2 hours. I have been calling every day to try and figure out what is going on. It is now more than a week later after my initial installation and I still have no DTV. I got a hold of Ironwood and they said that the reason why was because they didn't have the correct equipment and that she couldn't give me a new schedule date. Well, as pissed as I was I got DTV back on the phone only to find out that the real reason was because Ironwoods techs aren't trained to install the new dish and that they have to go through a month of training. Now I won't have my dish installed until sometime in October. So much for the NFL network. Ironwood, you suck ***!

Not showing up for Appts
I have been waiting for 4 hours and they gave me an E.T.A. of 7pm at 8pm...what a joke...
I would like to talk with an American when I call a American company, not a person overseas.
This installation company( And I use that term loosley) for Direct TV should be fired!

Run, they will steal from you
Ironwood Communications run run run do not let them hook your directv up they steal money from you and charge you for shit you should not be charged for watch out for them THEY STOLE A DISH NETWORK DISH OFF MY HOME WHEN INSTALLING DIRECTV AND CHARGED 85.00 FOR INSTALL WHEN IT IS TO BE FREE THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN DIRECTV IS GOOD BUT DON'T LET ronwood Communications INSTALL YOU CABLE!!!

No show and lies
I had an appt for 12-4 today to fix a console that doesn't work. I received a phone call from someone stating a bunch of technicians called in; please call and unrecognizable number to reschedule. I called DirectTV at 4:30 and they conference called the installation company, Ironwood Communications. The notes the "operator" for Ironwood read from a work order states no one was home. I told DirecTV that was not true, I have not left my home at all today, then they told the DirecTV customer service that my second contact number was busy and they couldn't get a hold of me... I never gave them a second number. The operator was unable to get a hold of dispatch to find out what was going on and I asked that they call me back. I called back at 4:55pm and now at 5:30 I am still on hold waiting to speak with the dispatch supervisor and have no answers. The operator keeps getting back on the line trying to get me to reschedule and take a day off work and have me pay $100 for them to come fix their equipment that is not working!! To top it off, they can not give me the number to dispatch because it is private!

I have seen six web sites with complaints regarding Ironwood for DirecTV installations, doesn't seem like DirecTV cares much, they have already billed me and marked my order as completed!

Rude/Incompetent installer
Tech shows up with major attitude--says Direct TV HD Satalite Dish simply cannot be installed on a balcony--after my protests he calls his supervisor--then says he needs to go get install equipment and with traffic will get back soon as possible--their offices are less than 30 minutes away even with traffic--he doesn't return and of my call and then finally calls just minutes before knocking at my dorr after 9pm and over 4 hours after the initial service call--by then I am on the phone with Direc TV and the Directv Rep hears his sarcastic attitude and him telling me "By the way the thing (a pole to mount the dish on) is 75 bucks, so you want this installed or what. I say you are over four hours late and now also expect me to pay 75 dollars for a pole. He said oh you just want something for nothing--you want this installed or not". I said, or not--you can leave". He stromed out--and the Directv representative hear it all and said she would file a complaint. I then get a call at almost 10pm from a supposed Supervisor, and after calling their offices and hearing they were closed-- the supervisor first said it just sounded like a misunderstanding--after I further explained--he said oh well that's not good--but the situation remains unresolved a day later. Direct really need to drop this company as a service provider!

Completely inept
June 23rd: Subscribed to DirecTV; First available install date (by Ironwood Communications) was July 7th!!

July 7: A kid (16-years-old, if that) comes to my house and says, "Man, this is going to be tough. Are you sure you don't want to go with cable?" I finally convince him that, yes, I do want DirecTV. Then he says, "Okay, well I won't be able to hook up the DVR." I ask why, and he responds "because I have to run a line from the satellite dish." Isn't that his job??? He abruptly leaves; I call to reschedule appointment and the earliest date is July 14 (between 12-4).

July 14: I receive a phone call at 12:10 that says installer in area and needs directions. I immediately call back and provide directions. Operator says she will forward info to installer. I never get a call back. 6:00 rolls around, and still no installer. Ironwood says they can't get a hold of technician, the technician supervisor, or dispatch. They try to reschedule me for July 29th (over a month after subscribing). Still no resolution. DirecTV is a great service, but if it is being serviced by Ironwood Communications, avoid at all costs as they are completely inept!!!

Damaging my house, no call backs, no shows
Back in December of 2007, DirectTV hired Ironwood Communications to install a dish/service for us. After waiting the 4 hour time frame twice, they showed up late and were "unable" to do the service that day. The third time wasn't such a charm. The guy who did my installation "botched" it by cutting holes in my carpet & through my hardwood floors. I had existing cable wires and requested that they use those, but he chose not to in 4 of my rooms (the 5th he did). None of the wires/holes were drilled behind the furniture, all were in plain view, inches away from the wall. One room he tried to drill through the floor, but hit a 4x4 under the house (oops, but there's the damage to my floor still!!!) Another room he drilled a hole and tore up the carpet inches around it... leaving the ball of carpet fibers to cover up the hole! 6 months later and full of frustration with very little interest of anyone helping me or returning my calls, I have resorted to taking them to small claims court... this Monday. Good luck to anyone who has IW do any sort of installation for them... or for anyone who has DirectTV outright lie about what kind of commitment you're getting into!!!
