It has come to my attention that this rescue is no longer legitimate, if in fact it ever was. The woman who runs it, Nicole Morris, takes donations of money, items, and foster care for horses.

This is not a registered non-profit, and no accounting of donations or finances is ever released. The rescue used to run off of a rented property. Horses at this property did not appear to receive adequate feed, vet or farrier care. The excuse was they were rescues and came in that way, or that money was tight. The problem was, too many didn't appear to improve under her care after many months. Yes, there was the odd success story, but almost all of these occurred in foster care or under the care of the adopter. Most were adopted underweight, with lice, worms and a lack of any previous farrier or veterinary care. Stallions were not gelded, and impregnated the mares, some as young as 2, increasing the severity of the situation. Its alleged the rent at this location was not paid and the rescue was evicted.

The actual rescue now seems to have no fixed address and mainly operates as an online entity. They do not seem to have their own facilities for horses. They seem to foster them out in private homes and then not compensate or assist the individuals. There have been allegations of horse theft, misrepresentation of horses, fraud, and slander against this woman. She is very good at attracting supporters by spinning a very sad story of how she is the victim of rumors and bad publicity and certain individuals out to get her and its too bad because its the horses who suffer. Dont believe her, please.

There is a reason there are negative rumors about this woman. There is a reason she has such a high turnover of supporters and volunteers. Please do your research and donate to a reputable, registered charity if you'd like to help horses in need.
