I'm not sure who this site can help, but will tell the sams they pulled while I was in contact with them, if it might help to bring justice to myself or others one day.
I met Steve Weeres and Rebekah (Becky) Donszelman in Sept. 2008 in Baja California. I was living in Rosarito and they were living in Ensenada. They proceeded to ask me if I would like to work for them doing odds and ends and training to be a "coach". They told me they had run several investment clubs in Canada and wanted to start some in Mexico. I needed work so I agreed and it sounded interesting. I drove back and forth to Ensenada everyday spending $17 a day in gas and tolls. I would run errands for them, buying office supplies, groceries, renting out rooms for the meetings and so on. They had me expense things, which for me was a normal thing in my other jobs, and was told I would be paid at the end of the month along with my salary of $2000. I was paid my salary once and paid the minimum on my credit card for some months until they quit paying altogether. In November, they said they were buying a RV business in Milet Canada and that I could come work for them there and be part owner of the company. At this point they owed me several thousands of dollars and I felt the only chance to recover my $$$ was to keep working for them. Instead, they only expensed more and more money on my credit card and borrowed thousands of dollars for their lawyers. I traveled to Canada 3 times to check out the new "business" and see if it wouold be worth my while to move there with my husband and work for thier new company. The last time I was in Canada was in April 2008, and I was at the RV office and realized that there were many people looking for Steve and Becky and that they were not running a honest business. They would take reservations and payments from people who wanted to rent an RV when there might not even be an RV for them for the time that they paid for. I was also not being paid a lot of money that was owed to me and starting to get very weary of them and their so-called business. When I left, I had major qualms about working for these people, but they owed me tens of thousands of dollars by this point. In May I was supposed to go back to start working in their office, but my uncle was murdered so I didn't end up returning. Then Steve started making comments that I was lying about my uncle and I realized that they had no intention of ever paying me. I was contacted by a girl who used to work for them in Victoria and she told me they did the same thing to her. She recently won her case against them in small claims court for $60, 000. But of course, they have yet to pay... I was seeing an attorney down in Ensenada BC with another woman, Rosabell, who they also stole about $15, 0000 from to see if I could recover my money from them. Eventually, I gave up my pursuit of the money owed to me by Steve and Becky because it would be too hard for me to win my case because they stole from me in Mexico, US, and Canada and I was told I would need to file claims in each of these countries. Well, by this point, I am falt broke. I settled with the credit card company and borrowed $11, 000 from an aunt to pay off the $60, 000 that they ran up on my credit card, not including the $7500 cash they never repaid me. I am now in the process of losing my house to foreclosure as well. Anything I can do to help prosecute these low life criminals, would be my pleasure.
