"Free Trial" offer for $1 that is a SCAM
Just like all the many other complaints on now see on this Complaint site ... I placed an order on internet for a supposed "Free Trial" with cost of only $1 for shipping. But when box arrived there was another month's supply in there -- and no instructions about returning or any address or anything. I had received an e-mail confirmation of order with the Order process at the top and "Total Amount of Order" charged to credit card showing the $1 amount -- but what is BURIED way down in the very LONG text of the e-mail is that they will "conveniently charge your credit card for $78.41. You can "cancel" but it must be within 8 days of the original date of placing the order -- again, all of which is buried in this long text. The "Free Trial" is NON-REFUNDABLE nor returnable - unless of course it is returned within the 8 days (again which is buried) and once your credit card is billed (on the 9th day) there is NO OPTION to return the items even if unopened, etc. Website also says their Customer Service is available "24 hours a day 7 days a week" -- that is also a LIE because when I called the number on a Sunday evening, there was a recording saying the Customer Service was closed. The only way I discovered that I had been billed this $78.41 was seeing it on my online bank statement just a couple of days after it was drafted. I called immediately (but Customer Service was closed). Called again the next day and reached an extremely rude & sarcastic CSR - asked to speak to a supervisor, who was just as rude (even worse). I got the address of the company but she would not give me the name of the President or CEO. She basically said I could file a complaint with whomever, but that I would not get my money back and the law was on their side -- she ended with "Good luck to you!" (extremely sarcastic)
