On 22 March 2010 I lost my mobile phone, I reported the lost phone to MTN (083 1 808) and the phone was blacklisted whilst I was on the phone with MTN. Later that morning I found my phone in my car and contact MTN and they informed me that that do not have the froms to un-blacklist my phone on their systems and that I must visit a MTN store to obatin and complete the said forms.
I went to the MTN store at Westgate shopping centre and completed the forms and provided them with a copy of my id document. They send the forms with a copy of my id document to MTN Head office at 10:45 on 22 Febraury 2010 and the person at the store informed me that it will take 72 hours for the phone to be un-blacklisted. Later that afternoon he contacted me and informed me that he needs a affidavit to confirm that I found the phone.
I went back to the store on 24/02/2010 and provided them with the affidavit, they informed me that they will send the affidavit to MTN Head office to un-blacklist the phone. On 25/02/2010 I contacted MTN and a lady by the name of Pauline informed me that they did not receive my affidavit and that I must mail her the affidavit and that as soon as she receive the mail they will un-blacklist the phone within 72 hours.
I mailed her the affidavit on 25/02/2010 and I received a read receipt from her at 09:49 the same morning. On 1 March 2009 I contacted MTN again and Ellen informed me that Pauline did not receive my mail and that I must re-send her the mail. I send the mail to Ellen on 2/3/2010 and received a read receipt on 3/3/2010 at 08:02.
On 3/3/2010 I contacted MTN again and was informed by Thobekile that according to the system they still need my affidavit.
