Purchased a watch from Jared's and extended warranty. The whole face of the watch shifted a quarter turn after a year. Went back to the store for remedy. Sales associate quite condescending. Guess what? No record of my warranty in their computer system. (Odd as the watch band was previously replaced under warranty). They had no record of any of my purchases which was strange as I had made several there. First I discovered he had been spelling my name wrong even though it was written down on a piece of paper. I actually got him to show me the computer screen. After advancing several pages we found my previous purchases. Magically the watch purchase and warranty disappeared. "Well if you can give me the exact date, " he responded. I was able to as it was an anniversary gift. Watch purchased finally found but not the extended warranty. I received a call four weeks later. "Good news after further checking we were able to find the warranty." You guessed what's coming next, the extended warranty expired two weeks previously. I argued the point that I had been in the store during the warranty period, no luck. I found this a very poor way to treat a person who was a loyal customer.
