Don't buy any Jawbone product, since after a few years if a part breaks you'll be SOL for finding a replacement part. I purchased a brand new Jawbone 1 for like $130 when they were brand new, about 3 years ago. I've had over 30 ear loops break in that span because their piece of shit aluminum ear loops will bend and break with any type of added weight-- simply putting it on my ear I've broken a dozen, and I'm not dumbo. I've spent maybe $100 just in buying those shitty accessories over the years through their website.
I broke my last one and tried to go online to order and they no longer stock any products for my Jawbone 1. Isn't that convenient! I spoke with 2 supervisors on the phone who were only able to give me a $25 discount towards a "product upgrade." So even with $25 towards a brand new fucking Jawbone bluetooth headset I would have to buy, it would still end up costing me $100 because they're super expensive. So it's basically like I'm buying $100 earloops because the Jawbone 1 still works fine. This Jawbone 1 is a few years old but just as good as any product out there, minus the shitty ass ear loops and uncomfortable ear buds.
I love when manufacturers claim to make high-end products and they sell/market as high price high quality. And then you find the parts are made from human hair practically. What if you bought a $3000 vacuum to find plastic gears and paper belts inside the motor? That shit better be stainless steel gears and Kevlar belts right?!?
So Jawbone- You can take that $25 and stick it up your ass because there is no way in hell I would ever buy another Jawbone product again. It should be illegal to force consumers to upgrade by no longer making/stocking older parts. So next time I take my car in to get serviced, are they going to say to me "Mr. Awesome, you need a new fan belt, but since your car is from 2006, we don't make those fan belts any more. You'll have to buy a new car or have one fabricated out of thin fucking air." Imagine that...
So I'll have to go on to Ebay or something and try to find some old ear loops, wait to bid for them hoping some asshole doesn't late bid and steal it, pay shipping, and I won't be able to drive using my cell phone until those arrive. I live in a city where talking on the phone and driving is illegal, fyi. So this is a big pain in my ass, since I also spend most of my time driving.
So thanks Jawbone for losing one customer, hopefully others will see this and buy a different brand and won't be offended by my language. I feel bad for the customer service rep who spoke with me, but when you work for the devil expect to get some heat.
This is another cheapass way for manufacturers to force you to upgrade. They used to make products in the 30s and 40s that were programmed to break after a few years so you were forced to buy new ones. THAT IS NOW ILLEGAL. Mfgrs should be forced to keep a reasonable stock for products with a 5+ year shelf life to meet customer demand. I'll buy some new earloops, but when those break I'll gently place them in a pile of dogshit, collect that dogshit, and then mail the whole thing to Jawbone's address.
