Website shutdown/lose of money
I signed up on the Jeaper.com website after reading a
very misleading article about someone getting a large hdtv for peanuts. I am interested in purchasing a large
screen hdtv so I watched the website for a week and never saw a tv come up for bid. I emailed the company and asked for my money back. They never responded. I paid $159 and didn't place one bid. Then the website shut down. Sucker me!!!

Never received the item I won
TOTAL ripoff! They charged my card $140, plus the $11+ I paid for the item I won. I never received the item, and now the site is down.

refund
I wanted to buy a bid box from jeaper, the cost was 119.00 they charged me twice and I was'nt able to get my bids. I contacted the site and spoke with someone buy the name of Samantha, she asured me that I'll be geting a refund with in ten to seven days. I have'nt recieve any refund nor have I been able to contact anyone.They just shut down and kept my money, I dont know what to do, all I know is that I want my 238.00 back .Jeaper.com is a scam, Everybody look out, dont let them get you like they did me.

I read about Jeaper.com from a reporter from CNN, I think, who investigated Jeaper.com and supposedly successfully bought a large flat screen TV for very little money and she said the site was legit. I went on line and registered and unfortunately part of the registration was to put your credit/debit card in and before I knew it, I had just paid $159.00!!! After my first couple of attempts to purchase something I soon realized that you had to be on the site for hours on end, and each time a bid was made by someone, the price went up by one penny. I soon realized that it would be virtually impossible to win anything and then before I knew it, the site had "temporarily" shut down and I believe that I still had about 128 bids left, which is really my money. Where is it? What is going on with this company and how can I get my money back?

They charged me 159 dollars for signing up and I didn't know I had the charge until after I had placed the bids

Even if you don't win the item, you pay for it
Don't trust these sites. They are complete scams. You pay just to bid on the item. Even if you don't win the item, you pay for it. Since it is online, you don't know anyone is actually winning anything. I lost over 100 dollars. Don't make the same mistake.
