I purchased a 2006 Jeep Commander, brand new, in 2007. The vehicle, which has less than 75K miles on it, has been in the transmission shop for the past week getting the transmission rebuilt and a new torque converter.
I had ALWAYS wanted a Jeep and was excited when I finally got one. When you think of Jeep vehicles, you think of tough, rugged vehicles. Not piece of junk vehicles that need major repairs at 75K miles. The transmission isn't the only problem I have had with the vehicle, but it's by far the mostly costly. Suffice it to say, I will NEVER purchase another Jeep product and will warn my family and friends to do the same.
