My Jeep was delivered to TOTAS by the body shop working on repairs sustained in an accident. It was driven by the owner of Beacon Autobody (out of business) to TOTAS. The owner of Beacon requested the axle be repaired and the requested repair was completed by the mechanic at TOTAS. No one seemed to notice the major (and obvious to other mechanics) damage to the oil pan and the gauges reading no oil pressure and continued to drive the Jeep. The oil pump was cracked in half so they were driving the vehicle without any oil and they seized the engine. No one will take responsibility and I am now out $5K to replace my engine.
I know little about how engines work but I know all they need is fuel and oil to run. It seems that since this mechanic doesn't know the basics he probably shouldn't be in business anymore.
