Bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler in late 2005. I noticed it smelled somewhat like mildew if I got in it after it rained. I finally found that there is a piece of poor stitching of the soft top that holds the weatherstripping on the door away from the jeep that funnels water directly into the interior of the jeep (LOTS of water)
Chrysler refuses to repair/restitch the top saying that it's "bent" but there is NOTHING to bend, there's nothing but fabric there where the problem is. Of course their "customer dis-service" department did what they do best and refused to help.
I've owned Chrysler products for 18 years, but this is my last ever. Between the jerking around I've gotten, the poor gas mileage (well below what was stated on the window tag when I bought it), and the fact that there is no apparent way to keep the seat belt from getting caught in the door without manually moving it, I won't buy another.
