We realized my mom was sick 12/24/03 & she was dead by 1/24/04 of lung cancer. I was already sick & her sudden death plus all the fighting the last month of her life made me even sicker. But I had a child to finish raising. We moved all the way to TX for help out of her dad.

I called these apartments before I ever left home. They knew what was up. They knew I was sick/unemployed. They knew coming here was iffy. They knew I was paying rent from my inheritance which was in probate & I didn't know how long probate took.

They forced to pay several thousands in a deposit. Not a hundred or even a couple of hundred...several thousands. Then they had me sign a year's lease for some stupid reason. For 6 mo's we were harassed by neighbors while ignored by my ex. Neither my ex nor the apts would help us. I have health problems I need help with...nobody would help me with this. So after 6 mo's I was broke & ready to go home. They wouldn't let me use any of that huge dep. to continue paying rent so I could stay. I had no choice but to break the lease.

I expected most if not all of my several thousands back. But they not only kept it...they expected several more. They claimed they only gave me a discount because I signed a year's lease so now that I was breaking it they were going to go back & get me for full market rent. I've never paid it so it's been on my credit report all this time.

They not only ripped off a sick/disabled woman who just buried her mom & lost her whole family...they ripped off my only child too. So if you're in any kind of bad situation stay as far away from these people as you can get because they will take full advantage.
