Dear ORANGE COUNTY CONSUMER FRAUD,
SUBJECT: FRAUDULANT BUSSINESS PRACTICES
I am requesting your help in resolving an issue concerning a business in the Orlando area. I contacted Jenny Global Trading Inc. to purchase an automatic transmission for a 1997 Hyundai Elantra. I spoke with Mr. Suarez Flores and was assured the transmission was available and could be shipped and would arrive with in one week after payment. I purchased the transmission using my debit card including shipping for three hundred eighty dollars; this was in September of 2007.
After many calls to Mr. Flores through out the months of October, November and December many messages with promises that the transmission would arrive either the following Monday or Wednesday of that week, my wife contacted our bank and tried to reverse the debit card charges as it was apparent there was not a transmission available. This was during several hospitalizations for Plasmaphersis that many of the telephone calls where from my hospital room. I finally received a transmission at the repair facility; however, I feel this transmission was sent as an appeasement as it was an incorrect unit. After many calls I contacted Mr. Flores and he requested pictures of both the correct unit and the incorrect unit as to prove the difference in the two units. Mr. Flores agreed the units were different and agreed to send the correct unit and have the other unit picked up and shipped back with no extra charges again with in a week. This of course was a sad repeat of more of the same, more calls more promises and of course nothing getting accomplished. I involved my bank officer and the VISA debit card official in this matter; they met with the same difficulty I had encountered in trying to contact Mr. Flores and company as before.
After a suggestion from my bank officer and the Visa official we met at my local branch and telephoned Mr. Flores on three way calling as the caller ID would not be previously dialed number. Mr. Flores Answered!!
Mr. Flores was introduced to each member and after a short conversation agreed to contact a carrier to have the transmission picked up and upon arrival and inspection refund the full amount three hundred eighty dollars. The unit was never removed from the container as it was obvious it was not correct so an inspection was not needed, after all he had pictures as to the condition after arrival and before reshipping.. Well this where I need your help it December 2008 and no one returned any calls after that conversation and of course a carrier never arrived to return the unit. I need the refund as I am on disability and living on a fixed income. I had put faith in a business transaction with limited income and expected Mr. Flores and his company to be credible.
According to the Jenny Global Trading Inc. internet site concerning their business practices and refund polices of which I followed, this may be a case of fraud.
Sincerely,
Julius Lambright
