I bought a new Jeep Wrangler from Jim Archer Jeep in Houston/Cypress, Texas (now a closed store) and the the Jeep began having problems when it would not always start leaving myself and my family stranded away from home. I took it back to Archer Jeep under warranty and had them check the systems. The mechanics told me that they could not replicate the problem so they could not fix it. This same pattern continued for several more visits, one in which they kept my Jeep for about two weeks. The mechanics said that it didnt start one time but then quickly changed their story and said it did start for them. Long and short, the warrany period expired while I was fighting with the dearlership. I was so frustrated that I asked to speak with the owner, Jim Archer, thinking he would recognize the insanity and work with Chrysler to either fix or replace my Jeep. I met with Archer, who didnt offer me anything of value and said I should have complained to Chrysler. When I suggested a trade (not knowing what else to do with my lemon car at that point) Archer quoted me a higher price than the regular salesman on a different Jeep. What a nightmare and Archer was the poster child for a selfish man only interested in keeping his pockets full of other people's money. No wonder he went out of business here-but beware he has other dealerships and I would not want my even my enemies to do business with him! Unless you have a lot of spare time to fight this kind of fight, I suggest no one should buy a car from an Archer dealership.
