My car was parked at my church (with the permission of the pastor) located in Garland. My car had been parked there about four weeks because my ignition had locked up on me and I was unable to drive it. My pastor received a letter from JJMR Tow asking if he wanted the car towed off of his property. The pastor's response was no. A couple days later the car was missing. I checked to see if it had been towed and there was no tow reports on it so I reported the car stolen. Later that week I received a letter from JJMR Tow stating that they had towed my car. I called them and they said they towed the car from a food mart about a mile up the street from the church. They tried to make it look like the car was stolen and left in another location so that they could tow it. But here's the problem; the car was inoperable so no one could just drive the car off the lot. It had to be towed. I asked them who authorized the tow and they couldn't answer me. The pastor also called and they couldn't answer any of his questions either. I went up to their business and the guy at the desk said they don't tow in Garland. Each time I asked someone from that office a question, they gave me a different story. Here's my complaint: JJMR Tow came on private property and illegally towed my car and they're charging me $420 to get it back plus another $80 to tow it back to the church where it was. They are stealing from people and its not right. And I refuse to let them keep getting away with this kind of unethical practice. They are in the business of stealing cars and they need to be shut down.
