They have been taking money out of our account for 3 months to stop a lien on our house and we just found out they're a fraudulent company we are now in the process of stopping the withdrawls.
They have done absolutely nothing. Thank God we found out in time.

i paid them a total of 2750.00 and was advised they would get my 6000.00 dollar debt to the IRS down to 1600.00 to 3000.00. I advised them i was already on a payment arrangement and was told to keep paying the IRS. When my balance was paid in full to JK Harris they then advised me there was nothing else they could do. When confronted what did they do? I was hung up on and after many calls reporting them to better business and many other agencies. They sent me a letter advising me i was entitled to a refund. 25 precent of what i paid in. I have not heard a peep from them. I am now unemployed and could use my hard earned money BACK. I am so frustrated with this fat cat lawyer getting richer off of peope trying to do the right thing PLEASE help me

I made the mistake of walking into a Harris office in Portsmouth NH. I had an issue with NY state taxes back to 1992 and 1993. The person I met with (Scott Carpenter from SC) was filling in for the person who normally manned that office(Dave Brunell), but of course failed to tell me.

Scott took a copy of all my documents and $825.00. Three weeks later I have an appointment with the real person who works in that office. He had a plan based on documents that he has never seen, that based on my current work with a NY State licensed tax rep. as well as an Enrolled agent at H&R Block, were way off the mark. Quite frankly Dave was quite embarrassed. They even had me fill out an obsolete NY power of attorney at one point.

Daves misinformed plans included me paying $1900.00 more. . . .

Finally my case started being handled by people that I had never met with from SC who never requested or spoke with anyone from NY State. I only know this because I started speaking with NY myself and found out the way Harris was going was completely wrong.

I feel lucky to have only lost $825.00. H&R Block is charging $200.00 for two Reps that are local and one has 15 years experience as a NY licensed Tax preparer (Linda Caton). The other is an Enrolled Agent, Kerry Robinson. Both out of Portland ME. Go local instead of getting the brush off to South Carolina.

In August 2010 I paid jk harris to review and FILE my tax returns for 08' and 09. I paid $1650.00. They contacted me in December of 2010 and stated that the IRS was going to Levy my accounts because I did not report a death benefit check. I contacted the IRS and learned that NOT ONLY had jk harris done NOTHING, but that the death benefit check was NEVER at issue since my husband was a Federal Employee, and taxes are not owed on those death benefits. After learning all of this, I contacted JK Harris to request a refund. The refund request for the entire amount of $1650.00 was refused since jk harris had "looked into my IRS issues"

JK HARRIS and Co. Is A Scam. I intend on pursuing charges against them.

My son went to JK Harris about his back taxes and they made him sign an agreement to do the 3 steps at $500 each step well he went thru with all the steps and then said that the gentleman that was helping him was giving out false information and was fired so they weren't able to refund his money or continue to help him. Got no where when tried to talk to someone about this, always got the run a round on it. This company just takes your money and rips people off and it is the people that don't have the money that can't afford to be ripped off cause they are seeking guidance with money owed for taxes. This company should be ashamed of themselves doing this to people but of course they are not ashamed, they just canive money out of people and get away with it. Government won't do anything of course about this!
