Below is the email that i had received from James Simpson, a sales manager at JNS Resources. This looked exactly like another email I had gotten from a different company, offering the same services. I was weary at first, but thought I would find out what this was about. James told me that all their leads come from direct telemarketing and the folks had expressed interest. My thoughts, how can 800 people be telemarketed and he is only charging .50 cents a name?? I am not an expert in minimum wage laws, but for someone to find 800 people, doesn't that require at least 40-50 hours of work. If minimum wage is around $6 per hour, that would be 133 interested individuals an hour. I assume that they didn't call 800 people and get a "yes, go ahead and have someone call me" from everyone of them. I have tried these programs before and I call 500 people to get maybe, 10 people that were willing to talk to me. I am, also, good when it comes to cold calling. I talked to a colleague of mine and they told me that the lists were junk. He tried it and had more disconnected and fax numbers than people interested. I contacted the BBB but they weren't registered and I contacted the State's Attorney, who told me I had to be a resident of MO. These leads are not qualified and this is a form of scamming that this individual is performing. It appears he stole another companies email, set up shop in his basement, and ordered leads off of Info USA. Order at your own risk.
