I'm renting out my frail father's house in Port Elizabeth, Westering. The only income he has is a small pension and the monthly rental income to cover his medical costs and the frail care centre fees. After the tennents reported a waterleak, I immediately got 2 qoutes to have it fixed. I decided on Johan Wolmarans in Port Elizabeth. I paid him R3 700 in total. He failed to arrive at my father's house to do the work on 6 occasions. He never returns calls. He eventually did get some work done but with disasterous results. The roof is now leaking 100 times worse and has caused permanent damage. The workers broke several roof tiles (the clay type that you don't get anymore) and the one guy steped on the ceiling and left huge damage. I threatened Johan with legal action and he promised to fix up everything today, 12 May 2010. Needless to say, he never arrived. When I called him, he told me he is busy and will call me back which also never happened. I phoned other Roofing Waterproofing companies to get quotes...
