I received an e-mail that stated get a totally free c.d. about John Commuta's transforming debt into wealth. The e-mail said no shipping fees and no hidden fees. I was told that was a mistake and it would be 6.97. Then they proceeded to tell me that I could look at the program for 30 days for this amount. They never said the free c.d. is just testimonials. I called back 3 days later and wanted to cancel the shipment, initially I was told it would take 2 weeks for the product to be shipped and a different agent said it had already been processed, he denied knowing anything about anything being free with no hidden cost. This was the customer service number for their radio ads, I tried to explain I got their customer service number from a represenative from the e-mail I received. He acted like he didn't know anything about this and was rude when I wanted to talk to a supervisor and said no. I asked three times to talk to supervisor and was told no. He was rude and condesending, I hung up and called back later to talk to someone else. I talked to someone else who tried to "guilt" me for not wanting the system, I explained that I didn't have time to even entertain the idea of looking at the system and would be sending it back. If they are legitimate they should tell you via ad or e-mail this is the cost of product and you have 30 days to return it if you don't want it. This free cd carrot, is a stick. If John Commuta wants to project an air of legitimacy they need to be upfront and not lure you in with free "nothings". And rude customer service agents and the inability to cancel an order within 3 days should inidcate an illigetimate and deceptive marketing strategy. I have heard from others that this idea of just paying your mortgage three days early would save you interest. Mortgage companies do not have to apply your payment early, they can hold it until the due date and then apply it, they are not in charge of the mail and when it arrives.
