My mom, my daughter and I arrived at John Dory's at 20h00pm on 4th September 2009. We were seated and ordered drinks, a sushi starter and a kiddies meal as my daughter was starving by this time. I am currently working 12 hour shifts at work and had just gotten off a 10 hour day and needed groceries. Of course Canal walk is the only place thats open till late so after shopping we decided to get something to eat as it was too late to go home and cook. The drinks took about 10 minutes and the starter and kiddies meal arrived 10 minutes after that. At 20h30 we decided that if this place was that slow we should just order specials as they usually arrive quicker than normal things off the menu. Boy were we wrong! By 21h00 we still had no food. I called the manager and complained and he found it rather ammusing as he laughed about it. By this time it was so late that going to another place was not an option. Our food arrived at 21h20 with no meaningful apology. The sad thing is that I noticed that the white family who arrived long after us were already eating and our waiter was jumping around for them. However the black couple who arrived with us were also still waiting.
