EMBARASSMENT @ JOHN LANCE FORD?

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Gerald Hairston, I am a Ford owner as I presently own a 2004 Ford
F-150 FX4 with 184, 000 miles on it. Before that I had a 1992 Ford long bed
that I drove until 207, 000 miles, even when the reverse went out at 192, 000. I
spent an entire summer strategically parking so I won’t have to use reverse.
A couple times I had to get out and push, but it wasn’t that bad as I used it for
landscaping. I love the American made FORD trucks.

John Lance Ford in Westlake, I test drove a Ford F-150 FX4 on Saturday(10/30) after remaining in contact with salesperson, Mike, for over 3 weeks via email and phone. The truck I test drove was “what I wanted”. I just had to get in touch with my credit union on Monday to close the deal. That process led me to Tuesday at 1:30pm when Mike called me at work and I gave him the information from Taleris to fax the buyer agreement to the loan officer at Taleris Credit Union. At 3:30pm Mike called and stated if I want this truck I better come and get it because he had not heard back from Taleris Credit Union. I called my credit union who stated “we are running behind today (elections), and we will have everything wrapped up by the first thing tomorrow morning.” I left work after talking with Taleris & Mike and drove about 20 minutes to John Lance Ford West Lake. I called Mike who told me the truck is waiting for you get here. I gave him my credit information as I drove there to get the process started. I explained to Mike while driving “my credit union was not finish processing my auto loan; therefore, I’m going to go with Ford financing”. Once I arrived Mike had my credit ran and had me sign papers and stated “we can get you a 5.9% interest rate with your credit”... I sign some papers and waited about 13 minutes. Mike returned and informed me “the truck had been sold”, I was looking at the truck right outside the window. I said “what?” He said “we have some other trucks you can look at.” I left immediately because I felt this was EMBARRASSING and I was in serious RAGE. I was DISRESPECTED! I don’t know WHY this happened to me. What kind of place is this? Do they have auctions here without letting the customers know? I’m very irate over how this was managed and felt manipulated to drive out here. I do not know why this happening to me, what did I do wrong?

1. Please tell me WHY I DROVE TO JOHN LANCE FORD TO BUY THE TRUCK, I WAS TOLD TO COME GET FOR 19k, WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE WHILE IM SIGNING PAPERS AND WAITING FOR THAT TRUCK?
*This is not a racial issue even though I’m black. * I felt bad for Mike as he lost a sale
