I hate to give a bad review, however, I feel what we have experienced can help others.

This review is regarding Freelance Web Designer John Schuster LLC, Website: johnschuster.net. We had a consultation with John to start the process of building a website for our company. Everything seemed to be going well, we paid him to start on the website making process, and everything seemed to be going as planned. My colleague and I contacted him daily to get updates on how things were going and to send him new information to work on further content. A couple of weeks later, John became more distant, one day my co-worker, who works on the technical aspect of the content, tried to contact Mr. Schuster, and he stopped returning her phone calls. My colleague was concerned as he hasn’t done this before, was he hiding something?

The next day, I tried to contact him, and as always I asked him how things were going and he reluctantly told me that he was unsure if he could do the website the way we wanted it, but he would send us a mockup of the website of how he could do it. I thanked him for his honesty and responded by asking him when could we expect it, and he said: “in a couple of days.” Little did we know that the next set of phone calls would consist of that same answer until he finally stopped answering my phone calls too. We have been nothing but nice to Mr. Schuster, and I would feel like a fool to keep calling someone who never calls you back about a business-related matter. Yeah John we got the message. Now we have a very large portion of our website unfinished. We are looking for a new web designer, but most are saying that they don’t want to pick up where he left off, so ultimately the work that we paid for is a total waste of time and money. Now we have a pieced, incomplete website that no one wants to work with.

We feel that the way John has handled this situation was Unprofessional and Cowardly. Just because he felt that he was not capable of completing the website, I guess he felt that the best way to resolve this matter was to screen his phone from answering our phone calls, and ignoring us and hopefully we will go away. Wow, what a great solution! Now you are subjected to reviews like this one, only caused by your own doing. Be a man John Schuster. So to those reading this review, you may be asking yourself how does this affect me? Well, if you are a Web Designer, learn from John’s mistakes and tell your clients if you can’t do something, there’s nothing to be ashamed of, don’t leave them in the dark. And if you are looking for a web designer, BEWARE OF JOHN SCHUSTER! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!
