I responded to a Craigslist job ad and was called by a company representative from Johnson and Armel. The lady who called confirmed my name and the job I had applied for online. She then stated that she needed to spend about 20-25 minutes on the phone with me and asked if I had the time to do so. I responded that I did and we proceeded. She then asked me what my highest educational experience was. Once that was answered she said, "you're planning on furthering your education aren't you?" I told her that I had obtained my Life Insurance license about 3 years ago and had been studying real estate investing for the last couple of years and did not have plans for any other education at this time. She then stated that she would submit my application to the employer and the employer would contact me if they were interested in me. Our total phone call took about 2-3 minutes. I thought it odd that it was not as long as originally stated until I got on this website and saw similar concerns. After the call I wondered if my lack of desire to further my education had shot me down for employment opportunities. I got on their website today and saw that they pride themselves in getting to know potential job applicants thoroughly so that they can place them in the best possible employment for them and the employer. Their philosophy doesn't seem to match up to their practical application.
