After seeing multiple job postings from this company, I decided to apply for several that I knew I was more than qualified for. CareerBuilder.com sends you to the comapny's website to apply where you then enter your personal information and resume. It also asks if you are currently in school, which was odd to me. After not getting a call for an interview (I understand that the economy is bad and I am competing with numerous applicants) and not receiving so much as an email confirmation that they had received my information and it was being processed, I decided to email them (since all their phone numbers are automated systems). Still no reposnse. After suspecting their site might be a scam. I did some research online and discovered I wasn't the only one to feel this way. Other complaints were similar or that the company had called only to ask about if the applicant was interested in going to school and not even mentioning the job applied for. I suspect that since they don't have a real phone number (as most real agencies do) and they ask about current education status (most places just want to know if you finished high scool/college, not if you are currently enrolled). I also checked with the Better Business Bureau for complaints and guess what? They aren't listed as members. If you go to their Facebook page, it is filled with people asking about application status' (since no on ever gets a call back) and where they are located (since they like to stay hidden). I can't file a complaint with the BBB, but I plan on conatcting the Texas Workforce Commission. I encourage anyone else with a similar experience to do the same. If you go to career/job sites, you will notice they have the exact same multiple job postings in multiple cities. Even in this economy, it is hard to believe they have the same openings all the time. This company should not be allowed to post fake job listings so that they can pass on your personal information without your permission to online schools.
