I started Joi Phone service in Sept 2009. I called and asked the representative that I am changing the service to Verizon, porting my phone number and at the end of my contract will not renewing the service. The representative said OK. At the anniversary date they charged my account @ $200.00 + dollars at midnight. I called same day in morning at @ 7:00 AM and asked them about the charges. They informed me that according to their Terms and Conditions, if I do not let them know 10 days in advance in writing, they would automatically renew my contract, charge my credit card and will not refund my money. They told me if I return my router and file dispute they would look into refunding my money. I sent them the router, related power supply and cables and ask them how to file dispute. No answer to me email. When I call they informed me no billing dispute over phone I have write to Joi Phone Corporate an email about my problems. I wrote them email, no response, resent the email no response. I called JOI Phone back and told them that the Joi Phone corporate is not replying my emails. They told me there is nothing they can do about it, I have keep on writing to them. They changed terms and conditions after I signed the contract and never informed me about changing terms and conditions. When I mentioned this to representative, she told me she is sorry about it, but can do nothing about it and I would not get my money back.
