Oct. 19, 2008 i responded to an e-mail/internet 7-day trial offer of ForeclosureStore.com. I received an e-mail stating the 7-day trial period had begun and noting if I choose not to take advantage of the membership, contact Customer Service before Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008. I was dissatisfied with what I found at ForeclosureStore.com. Oct. 17, 2008, I called customer service and stated that I did not want to take advantage of the membership. The customer service representative received my declaration to decline and informed me that it could take up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on my account. The first billing cycle following Oct. 17, 2008, my account was charged $79.00. The second billing cycle my account was charged another $79.00. Shortly after I declined the membership on Oct. 17, 2009, I called my creditor, Chase, to inform them of this declined transaction, but to no avail as they allowed the merchants billing of my account to occur. Following the first and second billing, I continued to inform the creditor that this transaction was declined as they assured me my account would be credited. Then, in early December the creditor calls me while I'm at work stating she has the merchant on the line, Nicole, saying that I had never declined the offer. I emphatically denied that was the case. Then she wanted the denial code I had been given.
Since I was in the middle of my work day, I did not have it on me, and I was to get back to them with it. Since that time, It has been increasingly difficult to get through to the customer service. The phone rings and rings, no one answers or/and I have been automatically placed on hold for hours at a time, speaking to no one but recorded answering. I have filed several disputes with the creditor, Chase. I have forwared the denial code I received to Chase.
However, they are not crediting the account as they are not able to get an answer when trying to contact the merchant multiple times. Why Nicole told my creditor I had never declined the membership, I know not, but she is incorrect. The one time I was able to get through to customer service, besides getting through initially to decline, I was easily able to confirm the denial of membership occurring Oct. 17, 2008 and the denial code verbally given to me at the time I declined. However, I have never received the credit and have been billed twice.I have found the business practices of Jordan Publishing Corporations' ForeclosureStore.com to be unethical, not of good faith, and marked with deception
