very rude customer service rep
Very nasty attitude from a Mrs. Williams in the student loan department. She was very rude and nasty from the get go and even hung the phone up on me! When I called back she happened to answer again and was even twice as nasty! Take your business elsewhere folks. chase is very undeserving of it. And prior to dealing with her and even after dealing with her, I was STILL getting the run around!

Unauthorized drafts from my checking account
I have been in contact with representatives from JP Morgan Chase's Auto Finance division for over a month now, with no return call nor any attempts at resolution to my issue. My auto loan with this bank was paid in full in February of this year. I had previously set my account up for automatic payments from my checking account (with a separate bank) to Chase and was told those automatic payments would cease when the account was paid in full. Not so. Two drafts have been pulled from my bank account after the account has been 'closed' by Chase. After calling to see where the payments were applied and/or if a refund was forthcoming, I was told to send a letter and documentation to 'Anna' and she would look into my claim to see if it was 'valid' and get back with me. This was on April 29, 2010. I have yet to receive a return call from Anna, and attempts to call her have been ignored thus far. This is absolutely unacceptable. I want my money back!

Awful, awful, awful
I received a letter from Chase, so I called the number. I ended up speaking with Kathryn (a mortgage consultant - a sales woman). She convinced me to refinance and had me give her my credit card number to apply. The same day, I was charged $750.00 on my credit card. When I discovered that the information was not the same as the flyer I received, and I just did refinance last year, I called to cancel the application. I spoke to Kathryn and her supervisor Angie, both saying I could not change my mind and $750 was non-refundable. Then called numerous times and left messages, never heard back. I think that this is a bait. I am a Chase customer, that makes this worse.

bogus fees
Chase has done it once again, I made a deposit into two accounts. My business account and my personal account. my business account was posted correctly but my personal account was held up for some reason. All of a sudden all these fees started popping up on my personal account! so far I'm at 275.00 and counting. (fyi the deposit was the same check split into both accounts) How can one half of the check post and the other half not post? I thought it was like being preggie, either you are or you aren't. Chase is making money hand over foot by charging thes outrageous fees for no reason. Maybe they are mad because I don't believe in credit cards and don't care to open an account. At any rate, my wife is on her way there now. Lord help whoever tries to "help" her...

Scubags
A Tale of Two Dirty Banks
(Boycott J.P. Morgan Chase & Bank of America)
J.P. Morgan Chase is the dirtiest, most corrupt, not only bank, but business in America. I would call them mafia, because they are a criminal enterprise, but I do not want to offend the mafia by putting them in the same category with this scumbag bank. I guess Jamie Dimon missed his ethics class at Harvard Business School. His company’s policies are a direct reflection of his character, and he is a scumbag dirty pig. I lost everything and I can’t even get a job because J.P. Morgan Chase destroyed my credit by dragging out the short sale/foreclosure process for over a year. And to pour salt in the wound, my mortgage has PMI insurance, which means the bank doesn’t lose. I have been turned down for two jobs because of my credit and also that H.R. Bill 3149 has not passed yet………I lay in bed contemplating suicide while J.P. Morgan Chase writes out billions in employee bonus checks.
My nightmare with Jamie Pig Morgan Chase Bank………….
After being laid off, I could no longer afford my mortgage payment. I did not want a foreclosure to occur so I tried to do the right thing and located a realtor and an attorney to work with to help facilitate a short sale. I have brought three different buyers to the lenders. These buyers were pre-approved and ready to close. Every time we got close to closing, the lenders would kill the deal. They should be on their knees, kissing my ass, thanking me for finding them even one buyer in this horrible economy and even worse real estate sector, let alone three. J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America have lied, manipulated, and jerked us around for over a year. These two scumbag, lying, dirty banks make my skin crawl and make me want to vomit my stomach contents. One bank representative even told me that “They were going to ruin my credit and destroy my life for putting them in this position.” I put them in this position????? I had an 804 FICO Score before I was laid off. I had a 30 year low rate fixed mortgage. I did everything right. These criminals, who should be in prison for their fraudulent activities, now get 7$$$$$$$$ figure bonuses as rewards. Not to forget, these criminals had their hat-in-hand begging the government for a handout of billions of yours and mine tax dollars. Let’s have a brief history listen. The bulge bracket firms on Wall Street are the DIRECT CAUSE of the great recession. They are the ones who bought the crap sub-prime loans, replenished the coffers of fly by night lenders, sliced and diced them, re-named and re-packaged them as Mortgage Backed Securities, coerced and blackmailed the ratings agencies to give them triple AAA credit ratings, and then sold these garbage investment vehicles around the world knowing full well the whole time this was a scam. These banks perpetrated the largest fraud known to mankind. They systemically brought down not only the U.S. economy but also the global economy. Countries such as Iceland have collapsed because they believed the lies that the thieves on Wall Street fed them and over levered themselves to buy RMBS investments. And now that the real estate bubble has collapsed, and these thieves cannot milk anymore revenue from the RMBS fraud, they are trying to create revenue on the backside by destroying the middle class and people’s lives, including mine. I have lost everything. I am three months from being homeless and living in my truck. I don’t have a ten million dollar mansion like Richard Fuld (Former Lehman Brothers CEO) to go home to, hundreds of millions of dollars in savings, or a private jet to fly me home to my estate in Chicago from NYC, every weekend, like Jamie Dimon. The only way an individual can let their anger known is by exercising freedom of choice. BOYCOTT these scumbag criminal organizations masquerading as banks and take your business elsewhere. They are a disgrace to America.

Student Loan Repayment and no Deferrment
I graduated from college in May 2009, I had several private loans with a co-signer through Chase and some Federal Loans as well. The time for repayment began December 7, 2009. I applied for a forbearance, as I am not employed full time yet and cannot afford the $253.00 in payments per month. They began to call non stop two days later. When I informed them that I had applied for a forbearance, they said ok and to keep checking back. I have spoken to Chase about 6 or 7 times in the last month. Each time, they never provide all of the information that I need, but just enough to get their payments. Come to find out that you can't have any forbearance's unless you make payments first, whether its for unemployment or not. This is information that would have been greatly appreciated from the first phone call. Instead they have these awful customer service people who treat you like they are outside debt collectors. I complained about the first girl who called me at work and told me I "was a non paying dead beat who knew I owed the debt and just wouldn't pay it" and I'm sure she was given a commendation for her nasty efforts. Then, they began calling my co-signer. Mind you, I have spoken to them SEVERAL times in the last month. My co-signer is terribly ill, and had to call me to tell me they had called her, when they didn't even try me that day.
So, since they are calling the co-signer, who is quite ill, they have bullied me into making a payment that I cannot afford and will not be able to pay very important bills such as rent, food, electricity. Thanks Chase. Thanks for all of your help.

Families Hurt By Chase Banking
December 3, 2009
unethical NSF charges, entrapment
JP Morgan Chase and it's upper management should be held accountable, fined and jailed for taking advantage of the public and small businesses.

Ever since the merger of bank one and Chase in 2005, and appointment of their ceo, their practices have become highly unethical. Unfortunately many individuals are unable to effectively articulate the problems to an "ethical/legal" status so they continue to hurt and deceive the public who trusts their money and small business dollars to this long standing trusted name.

Here's what they are doing:
Firstly, they have set an algorithm in their computer to process ALL DEBITS FIRST at the end of each day rather then the ORDER in which things occur (otherwise known as FIFO - First In, First Out). This will intentionally hurt individuals who are close to their bottom but do not actually go under...until chase PUSHES them under to collect fees and start the scam ball rolling.

Here's an Example of how chase will turn a legitimate $100 deposit into a $30 deposit WITHOUT you knowing it is happening.

Let's say your balance is $10 (ten) dollars. Then you deposit/transfer $100.00 into your checking account from another chase (or other) account this day making the balance $110.00 total. LATER that day, you have a debit from a restaurant that you charged to your debit card, for $25.00. You just overdrew and DIDN'T know it! Then, you buy a chocolate bar for $5.00... ...YOU will OVERDRAW TWO TIMES, and be charged a $35 dollar NSF fee for every overdraw. Sick isn't it!

Here's why...at 11:59pm...the computer processes all debits first...which is false because you put money in BEFORE the debit actually occurred!

So in REAL LIFE...your account does this: $10 + $100 = $110.00. Easy.
In CHASE life, the CHASE COMPUTER is programmed to lie and scam you like as follows: 11:59pm, it takes a $10. balance, SUBTRACTS THE DEBITS FIRST for @ $25 (balance is now negative $15), then $5.00 (balance is now negative $20.) Then subtracts $35. for each overdraw that CHASE caused (subtract $70). Your balance is now Negative $90. NOW...add your deposit of $100... and you are back at a $10.00 dollar balance when you think you actually have an $80 balance...which you then go and spend another $20- or so and again go under. How is this legal... i thin it's not and with our new president... will be exposed and the company and it's upper management held accountable.

What kind of society has Chase created? This is not only fraudulent and deceitful, but really steps back the trust in our society from a moral standpoint. Shame on them... and their tactics to hurt the unaware and middle class.

Scam and theft
Just a warning to all unassuming consumers...I have been a customer in good standing with JP Morgan Chase, formerly Washington Mutual credit card company. NEVER late with a payment. When I first received a credit card form them over 2 years ago, I had a 6% interest rate. Today, just 2 years later they have imposed on me a 48% interest rate. I have spoken to several representatives, and all I can get from them is their empty apologies and their annoying and patronizing prattle on how they value and care about their customers, while in the very same breath give me an imphatic "NO, we will not lower your interest rate". Even after I threatened to take my money to another creditor (which I have), they refused to lower it even 1%. This is what I call "badddd business". So folks, if you are looking for a new credit card company, please don't allow JP Morgan Chase/Wamu suck you in with their 6 month promotions. You will be giving them your money for the rrest of your life and your balance will never go down. P.S...their operators and representatives are annoying and as unhelpful as you could imagine...that is...if you can understand a word they are saying.

home refinance
I have an existing mortgage with Chase and wanted to refinance at the lower rates. Started the process May 11, 2009. Faxed the documents they requested the next day. Didn't hear anything back so on June 11 I called and spoke with Shane R. who was handling my refinance. He said they never received the fax (they had requested them to be sent within 48 hours, why didn't he let me know if they hadn't received them-especially after a month had gone by) So I refaxed everything the next day. Then I hear from a loan processor, Kathleen E., on June 23 saying she is processing my loan and they need some of the documents refaxed. At this point I'm starting to wonder what's going on. I can't get anyone on the phone and they won't return my calls. August 19 I get an email from a Laura T. who says she is assisting with my loan and wants to order the title work. So I send her the information. I keep asking what the hold up is-no one can tell me. Kathleen says she'll tell me when the file comes back from underwriting. Sept. 30-She never does until I call her supervisor-within an hour Kathleen emails me that it has come back from underwriting but she needs more documents faxed and it has to go back to underwriting. Oct. 2 I finally realize this is never going to end or they will jack me around several more months and then probably deny the refinance. So I call one of the supervisors and request to stop the refinance and am told I will be reimbursed $350. I am told to contact Shane, so I do. I call him, he picks up and when I tell him I'm canceling it, he says he's on the phone with another client and will have to call me back! Tonight or maybe tomorrow. Yeah, right. Of course that didn't happen. I emailed I was canceling and wanted my credit card reimbursed $350. This is what he wrote back on Oct. 5:
"I know that you have been extremely patient and I couldn't agree with you more! Your file is back in underwriting for what should be the final time. You are in the last stretch now of your loan, but if you still want to cancel then please confirm once more that is your final decision. Once we cancel, it is irrevocable and we can't get your rate back. If you choose to cancel, you will be credited back $350 to your credit card after your loan is officially cancelled." I emailed him and said cancel and reimburse me. Nothing has happened, so I emailed him again. His reply to me on Oct. 13-"As indicated on our initial call, as well as in recent emails, the $750 is a nonrefundable fee if you withdraw from the application. Chase is not denying you, you are simply withdrawing. Your loan was almost completed. So your credit card of course will not be reimbursed. Hope this clarifies." I wrote back and reminded him that he said in an email I would be reimbursed the $350 and I would be contacting my attorney. And that's not a joke. I haven't heard back from Chase. They are ripping people off!! Is there a class action lawsuit for this yet? This is criminal. Do not deal with Chase.

CHASE BANK, A NUISANCE
I would never finance my home loan with JP Morgan Chase Bank. Before buying my house, I already knew that this bank was big fraud. I felt so comfortable with Washington Mutual being my home lender. Unfortunately, after its collapse, WAMU fell in the worst financial hands: CHASE'S. Since then, I have been experiencing a nightmare. JP Morgan representatives, what ever their rank) are fraud, "cheater", arrogant, ignorant, incompetent and jealous. This is particularly true for the ineffectual customer service people who answer the calls and behave like if they were as brilliant as Einstein and as knowledgeable as the Library of Congress.
JP Morgan Chase Bank, a minus for the country, does not deserve better than a collective lawsuit. Let's unite to have them act in the interest of the American family.
