Wrong number and continually calling
I keep getting automated calls from Juniper Bank trying to reach Betty Lucas on my phone number. This number has been listed under PJ Lum for 14 years.
I don't know any Betty Lucas. I keep hitting the prompt for wrong number. I can't get hold of a live person. I get theses calls everyday. Sometimes twice a day.

Reduced credit limit
I was given an initial credit limit of $1750.00, when I received my card. I got a letter saying that after a review of my transactions, I posed to be credit risk. I was told that I would have to prove myself to get any more credit than $500.00. Why was this not checked from the beginning? I plan to pay this bill and cancel this account. This is a ridiculous way to encourage new business. I agree this is a rip-off from a company who misleads its clients. This needs to be addressed to Better Business Bureau and FTC.

The worst customer relations
This is the worst bank/credit card company EVER! I transferred a balance to this card with 4.99% interest. I have paid every month on time for over 2 years. Last month I accidentally sent in a less than minimum due payment ON TIME! They charged me for a late fee and raised my interest to 12.99%. I called and spoke with them and they were rude, demeaning and offered no resolution. I am trying to transfer this balance to another card and warn everyone to never do business with these people EVER!

Received a check from them
I received a check from this bank thanking me for my business for $11.44. I don't know anything about them, should I cash the check? Will I be obligated in any way?

Age discrimination
I applied at Juniper/Barclay bank several times with more experience then most of their current people in the Fraud Department.
I was told by an HR rep. the reason I wasn't hired was because I was "over qualified".
They meant to old. I was 45! In other words I would make the current Fraud Sup. Look bad because he had no clue what he was doing.
When I brought it to the attention of the office of the Presidents office they blew me off. Anyone with half a brain is in trouble if they want to get hired there.
They want pretty little young girls with no brains to be the puppets of the company.
I hope your bank gets bought out by a bank of higher standards.

Do not use this bank or card
I called to make a payment at 6:30 pm they would not post to my account till the following day, creating late fees. The customer assistant people would no help in posting the payment, manufactured statements were presented and they actually said "Can I help you with anything else?" The service people were no helpful and were condescending with their speech. No matter who I talked to I was told the exact same thing. The company is rigid and does no assist the consumer, also beware of high interest rates related to high balances even if you make over minimum payments every time. Do not use this bank or card.

Stay away from them
First, Juniper increased their fee so much in one month that it nearly hit my credit limit.
Then, on top of that they sent it to collection to another firm. They even called a neighbour to relay the message--harassment!! So my advice to you is to not do business with Juniper because they will take you to the cleaners.
After this experience, I plan to stop using credit cards--without thoroughly checking them out first. Oh yes, you might want to file a complaint with the FTC. Quite possibly if they have enough complaints they might check them out.

They can change your statement date at anytime they please
My statement date was changed without notice, making my payment late. Juniper's response? We can change your statement date at anytime we please.
I now have to make 2 payments a month to cover any changes that they will make.
Due to over limits that they allowed, my credit score dropped 20 pts.
When I call juniper I get attitude from the CS rep. I was finally told by the CS rep that if I was unhappy that I should report them to the FDIC. I think that that's what I am going to have to do.

Customer verification process!
I made two transaction online and was left a message on my cell phone shortly after directing me to contact a toll free number but not identifying the company leaving the message. I called the number and was prompted by a auto attendant to enter my complete social security number and zip code which, of course, I would not do. After pressing many prompts, i located a customer relationship manager who only identified herself by her first name and would not tell me the company until I asked her to do so. She informed me that she was employed with juniper bank who handles the credit card which i used on my online purchases. after we confirmed transactions, I told her I wished to speak with a supervisor or officer of the company because this verification process was absolutely litigious. she put me on hold for several minutes and returned to tell me that "everything has a purpose" to which I ended up hanging up because I knew I would never get anywhere. I canceled my card with this company immediately.

No US phone numbers until now
Ok here is the deal my father in law is 74yrs old his wife just passed away and with her passing he lost a source of income. He owes juniper around 2300.00 he asked me to call his creditors and see if they would be willing to settle his accounts at a lower payoff amount, Merrick bank is awesome by the way.
And most of his credit cards and store accounts agreed to do so one company cut his bill in half. Then I call juniper and get the Philippines over and over and over and it is the same script every time. So as a former investigator I kept looking for phone numbers to juniper but all I kept finding were numbers that led me back to the Philippines.
You gotta love it a american company with phillipino employees. Anyways I found this number it is 302-255-8700 which is junipers legal department then I got this number 866-750-6031 which is their executive office. They have failed to help a 74yr old man so if you call I hope you do better ask to speak to Terry or Jennifer brown I am sure they would love to hear from you or email them at correspondence AT juniper.com
