We were given a Land and Sea vacation voucher through our vacation club that was to be booked through K & E International. We sent in our money with requested dates including an upgrade to the accommodations. We were contacted by phone that they couldn't get our first date, no reason was given, and were offered an alternate date. As the first date we requested was for our anniversary in 2006 my wife questioned the agent repeatedly that the date he was talking about was in 2006. His response every time was yes, July 2006. When we received our trip confirmation we simply filed it for future reference as the trip was supposed to be in 2006. ( this all happened in April and May of 2005). In January 2006 we opened the envelope to check dates so we could request our days off from work and were shocked to read the dates K & E confirmed were for July 2005!!! When we called we were told that even though they have no written or recorded proof we agreed to this date they would not do anything to correct the error, it was our problem we missed the vacation. We now know we were naive to change a travel date by phone, although according to the companies rules there would have been no changes made once a trip was confirmed even if the mistake were discovered immediately. This company operates in bad faith and doesn't seem to care what a hardship losing that money was to us. We hope anybody wanting to travel learns form this and avoids K & E International like the plague.
