sign-up policy for reward
While trying to purchase a sale item, was told I had to sign up fr the rewards program. Okay, but the only option was was to provide an e-mail or texting number.
Our computor was being replaced and we don't text. What are people like my parents or 2 aunts who like to shop at K-mart to do? The only thing I can see is to take your ad to Walmart who will honor it with no reward number, therefore taking any sales out of your store. Not everyone has a computor or the ability or kinowledge to text.There has to be an easier way.

Rudeness
I went to a K-Mart store in my neighborhood to return some bras I purchased on 01/29 11 I needed a bigger size.I did not try them on at the store; because I purchased a size I normally get. Because they were made different which I did not accommodate for I felt it was my right to return them; only thing is I had taken the tags off and placed them in my drawer. Tuesday 02/01/11 I decided i would wear one which is when i discovered it felt too snug so I proceeded to try on the other one and found out it was to snug also. I had my reciept; told the lady who waited on me who's name was Monique I wanted to exchange them for a different size she proceeded to inquire the reason for their not being any tags and wanted to know if I had worn them and then washed them before I brung them back. I was soo insulted by this comment. Under who's authority does she think she has the right to assume I would do something like that I even went as far as to ask her; she commented thats what they do all the time i don't know yet if she assumed that because I am an African-American but i will not spend money in a place that thinks they can get away with saying and categorizing all people because of their color or her ignorance.

Bad Business on returned items
My daughter bought a karoke machine from K-mart for my granddaughter for Christmas.

After my granddaughter opened the gift we found that the quality of the machine was not what it should have been for the price paid for the item. My daughter returned the item to purchase another machine of higher quality and more money, however she misplaced the receipt.

K-mart would only give back 1/2 of the purchase price which they claimed was a sale price, and would not allow her the money she actually paid to go against the higher quality machine. And to rub salt into the wound, she bought another product for the amount K-mart was allowing her and they refused to give her a receipt for the new item, because she didn't really purchase the item, and did not have a receipt for the original item. This is total bad business even if the company thinks its ok and the consumer even accepts the fact that they only get 1/2 price back without a receipt. The new item now has no receipt and if there are defects to that item the K-mart can say no receipt only 1/2 price back.

poor service
I am very disappointed in the product that I ordered from your online service. I purchased an upright freezer as a Christmas gift and the FIRST on that was delivered did not work. It would only heat up not freeze. So I called and I then found out that I had to pay the full price again before I could have the replacement one delivered. I did as they told me and paid AGAIN so the delivery was set again. When the delivery guy came to replace the new freezer he took it upon himself to become a repair man. Please take note that this was being delivered to my sons home as a gift and that my son is Blind so he went by what this man told him. Needless to say this man did not leave the new freezer and after he left my son placed another tray of ice in to see if it would freeze well it didn't. Go figure.I am know waiting for the third delivery. I feel that I should be compensated for my complete inconvenience. At least some reimbursement. I would appreciate a reply from someone just to let me know that this did not fall on deaf ears. Thank You Mrs Cindy Cote

Absolutely terrible!
Dealing with these people has been an absolute nightmare! Firstly, my fiance and I are planning to get married on December 27th, this year and we wanted to buy our wedding bands at K-Mart, because K-Mart has the matching band to my engagement ring and they had it for a really decent price. I went on their website on the 27th to purchase my ring and his, only to find their site was down. Kind of bummed out, their live chat support said to try the next day. So, the 28th, I went back on their website to purchase the rings. The prices were different! We were frustrated, so I called their customer service department and spoke to a really nice woman and I explained to her my situation and how they should still honor the sale prices from the night prior because their site was down. She couldn't do that but offered me 10% off of the entire order, I figured, fine better that than nothing at all.

She processed my order on the phone all went well and the order went through. Until my fiance got an email confirmation for the order and noticed that his wedding band was not included in the order. She then told me that his ring was out of stock. I wanted to cancel my ring and she said she cancelled the order. I informed her I would call back on Monday the 29th. When I called back on the 29th, the rep I spoke to, said that the order had NOT been cancelled, she cannot cancel it and, AND the 10% discount was never applied! I was furious. She said I'd either get an email saying that they would ship or they cancelled the order (this didn't make any sense to me considering she had already told me that they could not cancel the order) but whatever. About an hour later, I got an email: Unfortunately, the merchandise has already shipped or released to be

shipped for your order reference number 190248249, therefore we are

unable to cancel the order, as you requested.

Funny. Here we are a week later and I still haven't received my wedding band when delivery was promised by 12/2. My fiance called back twice tonight, first got a supervisor, Brian, Brian kept telling him that their computers were down and he couldn't get any information regarding my ring and what the hold up was. He honored the 10% discount and said to call back and speak to some one else within a couple hours. At this point, my fiance was reluctant, but decided to go ahead and repurchase his ring again because Brian notified him that his ring was NEVER OUT OF STOCK! Even though two reps before him told my fiance that it was. He just called back and spoke to another supervisor by the name of Pamela, she did NOT HONOR the 10% off, gave a bogus excuse that Brian didn't put it in the notes. Again, reluctantly because we have our hearts set on these particular rings, he decided to go on ahead and order his ring, AGAIN, for $20.00 more than the sale price. He was instructed to call back on Monday to get an update on where my ring is, as PAMELA'S COMPUTER SYSTEM went down again. (What is wrong with their computer systems?) Of course she managed to place his order through before this happened. (What a coincidence?) Just now checked email for confirmation and guess WHAT? This order for my fiance's ring got DECLINED AGAIN! Thank you K-Mart for screwing up my wedding. We are a struggling couple on a fixed budget that have been together for 14 years and we're having a very simple wedding at the courthouse because we cannot afford anything more extravagant. Thanks to your bogus site, well below par customer service representatives and shoddy computer systems, your company managed to completely botch our wedding to the point where we have no idea what we're going to be using for wedding bands! Beware! K-Mart as a WHOLE is just absolutely terrible and after this experience we will MOST CERTAINLY NEVER shop there EVER AGAIN! We will be encouraging everyone we know to do EXACTLY THE SAME!

no help for over 30 minutes when ask at service desk for help several times
My husband and I were looking and wanting to buy a outdoor grill, we had desided on one and needed help with getting it to the front to purchase. We ask at the service desk for help and it was on the over head intercom three times in a twenty minute span and no one came. We left without a grill, as I was waiting in line to buy items I already had in the cart for a few minutes I was told by the cashier to go to the next register because because she was going on break. Very upset at this point, I mentioned that we had waited all this time for help and and never recieved it, now I am ask to wait longer. The girl at the register that had ask me to go to the other line was very verble and rude about needing a break for more than twenty minutes herself. Not a kind word or the fact that I could have been helped then, Just sorry for your Trouble when my receipt was handed. We left and my husband and I waited over an hour ate some food to calm down and went back and bought the grill because we wanted that one very bad and the sale was over after that night. If we could have found one at another store we would not have went back there. and dont believe we will now that it is all over. What ever happened to customer service?

i USED TO SHOP AT THIS STORE QUITE FREQUENTLY, BUT LAS FEW TIME, ALL I HEARD WAS MEXICAN MUSIC, THIS STORE IS STILL IN A PREDOMINATELY WHITE LIVING AREA, IF YOU DO NOT WANT ENGLISH SPEAKEING PARTRONS IN THERE PLEASE CHANGE THE NAME TO K-MART HISPANIC STORE.

customer service
I have just restarted shopping at your K-Mart store on W. Washington in Indianapolis, IN. and I found some of the things that kept me away have been corrected, but I'm not sure if I will continue shopping there again for the following reasons:
Wheelchairs availability
long lines at check-out
I have been totally ignored when asking a for assistance
Unfriendly checkout personnel

I shopped there through out the Holiday Season. I have considered the busy store for part but, not all of my complaints. I was a retail manager for 16+ years so I know well how heptic things can get. On 12/27/2009, I once again went there to shop. Upon entering the store there were 10-12 electric wheelchairs. The greeter stated that they were all unuseable. I asked why, and the greeter raised her voice and snapped at me, saying "that what did I know they have been all used non-stop and that is why all of the wheelchairs in the store were uncharged. So I got a cart to push and to put my walking cane in. I found so many after-Christmas items unpriced and when I ask about, another cherk snapped at me that this was not her department, she failed to call or find someone who could help. I only found (2) items that were priced and only because the price was printed on the box from the factory. I bought these things and proceeded to the check-out. There were (3) clerks just standing around visiting with each other. So I asked if this register was open and one of the clerks came to check me out. She was rude and obnoxious. I feel that with today's economy that shopping should be so unpleasant. I hope you agree with me and take some action at this particular store. It was 2:46 in the afternoon, why can't you hire better personnel.

Pharmacy gift cards
I had prescriptions on file at another pharmacy but decided to have them called in to K-mart this time to advantage of the $25.00 gift cards being offerred. When I got there I found out that since I had them called into K-mart instead of the other Pharmacy I was ineligeble for the gift cards. Dumbfounded I said so your telling me I should have had these prescriptions called into the other pharmacy first then call here and ask to have the prescriptions transferred? What sense does that make since I already had the prescriptions filled prior at other pharmacy??? This was a transfer of prescriptions in all sense of the word transfer...
