service, convience, attitude,descrimination
To start off I just want to say Kmart is my store of favorite choice. I have always preferred them over all the others since 1969. I even worked as dept mgr. in Fenton for 7 years. I live in Flint near the Miller Rd. store and it is close and convienent for me. But I hate to say that I'm about to give it up cause I cant believe there are so many rude, lazy people in one small store. To have a job today is a blessing and should be respected to the highest. This economy is in such bad shape and the job market is really horrible. So I cant understand how these employees can be so rude and non-compliant to their duties. I have been to this store two seperate times in the last two weeks and both times were the worst experience I have ever had at any store in this town. I had my cart full of merchandise and the store was closing in 15 minutes so I went to check out. There was only one cashier open and lined up from here to eternity. There were three girls at the service desk watching the clock cause it was almost time to go home. One or two of them could have opened up or even checked people out at the desk. I had 5 people in front of me and the slowest cashier ever hired there probably. After 20 minutes I got fed up and left my cart and left the building, like 4 0r 5 customers behind me were talking about. After I got to my car, which was parked right out side the windows, the girls at the service desk summond the two african american customers who were in front of me to the desk and rung them up. I am by far not a prejudice person, and I hate that in anyone and I see something like that. But that isnt my complaint. My complaint is no service, rude service, waiting forever to only get discusted and walk off. AT the store in Fenton where I worked for 7 years, we treated every customer like they were our family. They always left with a smile and came back. That is how we stayed ahead of last year sales, returned customers who probably wouldn't have returned if they werent completely satisfied. Anyway I also couldnt find no one at jewelry counter. I went to the electronic dept to get a chip for my camera and she was busy talking to some friends to wait on me and they had the isle blocked. After I said excuse me 3 times, I finally moved their cart and browsed the rest of the department, finally returning to counter to get what I was there to get and she acted like I wasnt even standing there. So I went to the drug store the next day and paid more for it but I did get it. That is the service I get there all the time. And I hear so many complaints from others as well. You would think since they joined with Sears, they could have better help, but some one has no pride. They just want to draw a paycheck and if they do do anywork, they want a pat on the back. Well their pat on the back is every two weeks in a pay check isnt it? I'm sorry to make this so long, but I am so discusted with this store. I really hate Walmart, and I dont do malls. All thats left is dollar stores. Let me see you buy quality items there. I sent an email to this site two weeks ago and got not response, and I dont really care if you dont respond, I would just like to see this corrected. I know Ben the mgr. there, he trained at my store by the manager Joe, who was the most awesome of any mgr you could ask for. He would always make his employees feel like getting out there and pleasing customers. He would actually hold pep rallies in the mornings in my department and get everyones blood flowing in a good way. He trained Ben and I seen that same quality in Ben. But that was several years ago and maybe the spunk is gone. I dont want to cause him any problems but this store has gone down hill so bad and it didnt have to. This is a highly populated and traveled area. No one wants to go where you have to move stuff out of the isle to get down it and wait for one turtle cashier to ring 20 people up. I am well aware of the cut backs due to economy, but when you see people standing around who could be waiting on you and making your shopping experience better, they could be earning their check by doing their job.
