The news this company puts out is totally biased. Its letters to the editor generally and editorials and responses thereto present one side of a story. With rare exception, they fail to facilitate fair discussions. Their moderated forums are slanted also. Rude and uncivilized comments made in these forums is tolerated IF those making them represent the same liberal dialogue that is the practice of this company.
To appear to set up a venue where the views are heard of a cross-section of the readership can be had but which is in fact representing the Star's views is misleading. Anyone who submits contrary / opposing comments will either not be heard or else not be heard on the same scale as the others.
It is misleading and an unfair attempt to make it appear that a cross section of the readerships views are represented.
The news you get will not be an accurate representation of the readership views so if you do read it, please keep in mind that it is slanted to a liberal agenda. Oddly enough those attempting to speak in support of innocent babies being aborted in Kansas and Missouri and elsewhere are heavily moderated however the opposite doesn't seem to be true but rather the opposite is given every opportunity to campaign for unfetter access to abortion without consideration to the heavy price paid by innocent babies.
While it is fond of saying, abortion is legal, keep in mind that slavery was once legal as well. Not everything legal is just, in other words, so be prepared to have an independent and open mind.
