I have just found out that in March 2010, I signed up for a monthly service from Kazaa Inc. If this is true I had no idea that I had signed up for anything. I did search for music on the internet to put together with some photos and burn this on a DVD. The songs I tried actually at the time I was not able to burn because of the legal rights on the songs. I thought that was the end, I had the songs on my computer but could not burn them to a DVD. All the information: phone, website, http address and whatever else you can use, will prove that I did not use this service monthly, weekly, daily. Now Kazaa claimed I downloaded again in October 2010. All I did was listen from my computer the exact same songs that were in my music file on my computer. I did not have any idea that, again, I was downloading the same songs. Why would I do this? I had no idea. Yes, I will pay for the inital first month, although Kazaa claims this was a free trial, did not know this. I will even pay for the same songs I listened to again in October 2010, but I do not feel I should have to pay for ten months that I did not do anything or had any idea what I was doing. I do not listen to music daily or would I ever pay $19.98 a month to listen to music. The creditcard information that was used is my husband's. Kazaa claims I gave that information to them online. I do not remember doing this and if I did I must have thought it was necessary to get the music just for that day. I did not know the card was going to be charged monthly or at all for that matter. I thought maybe Kazaa somehow got the creditcard number from my cell phone account. The cell phone number they have on file is my old cell phone number, which has not been used for a long time. On that cell phone it is a pay as you go terms. My husband used his creditcard to pay for minutes to be added on that phone so could Kazaa get that information from the cell phone, I don't know? Please help me. I did not know this was going on and I just wish I never would have even looked on their site for music. It is obviouse my husband does not check is creditcard statement enough or this would not have been going on for so long. Again, I feel I should pay for the first month since I did download music onto my computer. I well even pay for the month of October 2010, since I guess I downloaded again the same music, why I would do this? But I do feel I should be responsible for all the other months. This record proves, without a doubt, that I had know idea what was going on.
Again, Please help me.
Thank you for your time.
