FREEEZER REPAIR
2 days i waited for a repair man NO SHOW! the last day on april 5 no phone call until 7:20 pm that evening. I wnt this freezer replaces and ALL my food that I had in the freezer. I have ALL sars products and my next purchase will be a washer and dryer set. My thoughts are maybe I should shop i my area or another department store. Also my husband is a Big Sears craftsman buyer! I think not anymore. I also have total lose on food products is $1869.00, I personaly doubt I will ever see any of th money. I was a very loyal customer, how very disappointing.

sears runaround

oven range
ordered oven range on sale from internet sears site. 2 day sale of smooth top, self cleaning, gas or electric, oven range priced at $399. It listed a 10%discount for using a sears credit card and offered free delivery. I ordered the electric range; and since it was such a good deal, I also ordered a hood for the range and a garbage disposal for my kitchen which I am remodeling. Ad appeared Jan 2, 2011 and was delivered in January. I left item in box until electrical outlet was installed in middle of March. The electrical installer told me the stove was not a self cleaning unit as indicate in the ad. I notified sears and sears online ordering about mistake. sears sent out a 2nd replacement range April 1st. 2nd range was another error with conventional burners and was not accepted. Now they have no knowledge of their replacement attempt at an even exchange. They are reluctant to make correct delivery without additional price changes in excess of $100. Sears solutions are ridiculous or nonexistent!!!

Icemaker does not work..brand new!
I purchased a brand new Kemore on 3/12 and it was delivered on 3/21. The icemaker did not work from day 1. We called for service and the first day of service was 4/2/2011. We waited ALL DAY for the tech. I called SEARS customer service repeatedly and they kept telling me the tech would be there later. Finally at 3:15, I called again and they said he would not be coming. The next date for service would be APRIL 12... 23 days from the delivery with no ice . I must have talked to 8 different people having to explain the story over and over. All they could say was, "I understand your frustration"...'understanding' does not make ice...DO NOT purchase from SEARS...they do not provide adequate service at any level. This is the worst example of service ever.. Next, the bill will come and they will expect me to pay for a substandard appliance that does not and has never worked. Surely, there is a tech who can fix this appliance in a sooner time frame that this. In short, DON'T PURCHASE FROM SEARS!!!

FIRE - Kenmore Dishwasher
My Kenmore Dishwasher caught fire 3/29/2011, Model #665.16382300, serial #FP4403519. The control panel caught fire so did electrical wires. My husband looked at it more closely today and said we are lucky the house didn't burn down, and that I was at home and noticing soon enough. I ran and turned all circuit breakers off, after it cooled off I unscrewed the panel where the Control panel is and unhooked all wires. We are so lucky my family and the animals are OK. After resourcing I found out that over 150 Kenmore/Whirlpool Dishwasher fires took place since January 2011, Canada is doing an investigation but the USA does not. How long will the USA wait until they do something about this? Or does someone has to die first? The fires a cure in all models no specific #, I notified Sears, but didn't heard back ... I want my Dishwasher replaced and no no Kenmore anymore ... TIME TO TAKE ACTION!

incompetence of repair call service
4 year old Kenmore refrigerator, contacted repair call center for service 800.469.4663, the answering person was of foriegn descent, unable to understand him, he was totally unable to comprehend our problem, asked many unrelated questions not pertinent to our problem. Ultimately the service appointment given was 4 days later, unacceptable as our problem was a current emergency and presented a fire safety hazard due a circuit board failure as diagnosed by a private technician we contacted .

Timer
Purchased Kenmore Washer in 2008-- Model 11029822800--Serial CW 4840226 Did not purchase the warrantee The cost for the service call from SEARS was costly I decided to go with an outside vendor Order the timer Still Washer did not work. The cost to fix the washer was $200.00. Third time needed to fix timer and pay for service calls. Decided to by a Speed Queen w/3year warrantee on everything. Tried to call to complaint Could not get anyone that would understand Said nothing they could do since another vendor fixed the washer. SEARS should reimburse me some of cost of the washer that I purchased since it only last 3 years. Please advise

Timer on the Washer
2008 purchased Kenmore Washer in Deptford, NJ Purchased w/ additional insurance for labor/parts 2009 Service Man to my home did something to the Timer--2010 Timer was replaced - March 2011 3rd Timer was replaced My complaint is that SEARS will not guarantee the expense of the timer on this washer when my warranty runs out in December 2011. Sears customer service has told me that there are many complaints and checked to see if this item has been recalled. It hasn't. My cousin and I bought the same washer the same time. Today, March 29th she had to replace the washer for a Speed Queen because the washer was broke. I will not incur another cost for a washer that will only last 3 years under my protection agreement. I want Sears to guarantee longer length of service without cost to me. There is no one in SEARS customer service that is helpful no matter who I talk to they repeat the terms of my warranty 3 years and it is finish. Please advise if SEARS will guarantee this washer or if they chose another washer that will last a little longer than 21/2 years. This washer is used once a week Around 4 loads each Saturday If that is too much for this washer please advise what does Sears expect from a Washer. I just spent $6,500 on Sears Kenmore appliances, they don't work
I just spent $6, 500 on Sears Kenmore appliances, they don't work, & Sears won't provide service. These appliances are for my new house and the refrigerator hasn't worked since it was installed.
I've waited two months for service and had one appointment after another cancelled. I want Sears to take the refrigerator back so I can get one from another manufacturer that works.
I'm real unhappy about your lack of service on this product.

Stay away from these guys
If your older Sears Kenmore side by side refrigerator section suddenly stops keeping your food at proper 40 degrees. Make sure your intake & outlet vents are not covered by anything. For example a plastic bun bag.
It would have been nice to be able to check for something this simple in the owner's manual and save the $45 service charge that I had to pay to Sears.

I will never purchase another major appliance from them ever again
I called to get service on my washer Sunday and the service person said someone will come out the following Thursday.
I was told that I would be notified the night before of a time frame.
Wednesday night came and I did not receive a call so I called Sears.
I talked to four people and each said I never called to get service, but that someone could come out Friday of the following week.
I argued with them. One service person told me they didn't work on Kenmore washing machines -- which is a Sears product.
Finally I couldn't argue anymore.
The next day a service man called and said he was 15 minutes away. All fours Sears agents had been wrong.
Every man that came to fix my washer agreed the service department was bad.
I called Sears' complaint department. I am still waiting for a complaint form to fill out and send them.
I will never purchase another major appliance from them ever again.
