Terrible service & quality!
KFC is according to me going down the drain with service and quality of their food!! We get KFC more than 3 times a month but after last night at a KFC in Brakpan I had it with raw and cold chips, chicken that if you bite it the blood is still present and most of all service from the people working at KFC!! We stood in the line for more than 30min just to get food that my dogs wont even eat...
Is it just me or are we paying more each time but get less??
I am really really fed up with the KFC in Brakpan!!!

Not enough chips/food
I am not too sure what the shopping centre is called, but when we went to buy Kentucky at this place on the old Jhb Road in Pretoria (close to Midrand) there was an old man next to me who complained that previous times he bought there and got home, there was no chips in his streetwise two... I opened our order just to make sure that we do have chips and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw about 5 chips... I enquired and I was told that one receives 14 chips with a streetwise two, but there wasn't even 10 chips!!! I really think this is absolutely disgusting and if they do not want to give one chips - do not advertise it!!

Food Poisoning
I went to the KFC early evening and waited on line for nearly a half hour even though there were only 2 people ahead of me in line inside. The people working were only filling drive thru orders and ignoring the customers in the store. When I complained repeatedly asking to speak to the manager I was ignored completely. When they finally did take my order they gave me hot wings instead of the barbecue I specifically asked for, I didn't notice this until I got home. I called to complain but they didn't answer there phone though I let it ring 20 times twice. I then called your corporate customer service number to complain there. I left my complaint, hung up and proceeded to pass out the food from the 10 piece I had ordered since no one in the family would eat the hot wings. After a few minutes my wife jumped up from her chair and ran to the bathroom throwing up violently. When she was finally able to tell me what was wrong she showed me the chicken and it was raw in the middle.
We immediately gathered all of it up and made everyone else who had eaten it vomit with ipecac so that no one would get equally ill. Fortunately for us my wife and I had eaten the larger pieces and hoped that it was only the bigger pieces that were undercooked. I again tried calling the store repeatedly, finally got someone to answer, told them the problem and they proceeded to hang up on me, it was a female who did this. I later found out it was either Arlene or Nadine (Arlene being the original girl who waited on me in the store and repeatedly ignored me). I called back again and had a different female answer say "No Habla Espanol" and hang up on me again. By this time I was livid, grabbed the raw chicken and car keys and headed down to the store.
I went in there asking again to speak to the manager and have him call the owner. I then noticed Arlene the original culprit laughing off to the side through this whole thing and some girl with bright red hair was joining in the laughter (I'm assuming that was the other girl who answered the phone earlier, so that would be Nadine). Wesley who I was told was the manager told me he paged the owner, the phone rang after he paged, he spoke to someone for at least 4 minutes, came back in and told me the owner was unreachable and that he didn't have any incident reports to record this and that in order for any kind of a refund I would have to transport everyone who had eaten the raw chicken to the hospital. The whole time this was going on Arlene and her redheaded friend were laughing. When I told her raw chicken was not a joke she laughed even louder and walked away from me.
I am positively furious that this happened to me and my family. My wife is convinced that not only the wrong order being handed to me but the chicken being raw was a direct result of my complaining that the service was so slow. If this is in fact true their employees need to be taught that raw chicken is not a harmless joke, it could have killed someone. It's now 12 days later and my wife is still sick with diarhea and vomiting. I spoke with our family physician has done some tests because she has been sick for so long and we are awaiting the results.
On top of everything else I was told this past monday that the reason the owner of the store hadn't called me back was because he was at the store taking care of the problem. I went down there to talk to him only to have them tell me he wasn't there. I dropped the soda I had ordered and walked out even more pissed than ever. It's now wednesday and those assholes actually sent the police to my house to tell me that I had a trespassing violationg against me and my wife (she has never even been there) and that we were no longer allowed to have any contact with that store. Nice way to try to strong arm your customers kfc. This is not going to be dropped.

food
saturday night between ballgames we went to kfc for food. IT WAS BAD AND WE ONLY ATE A FEW BITES, BEFORE WE REALIZED THISwe gave 2 dogs a bite. to make it short, i broke a cap off and we all became very sick including the two dogs. we live in memphis and headed home as soon as able. We also got bad kfc in destin, fl. this was in feb . jean price, 4314 garner pl., bartlett, tn. 38135.

Bad service and incorrect orders!
This is just so maddening! For the umpteenth time - I have lost count, it's so many - this evening, yet again, at the drive-thru, Beacon Bay, East London, we were supplied with an order which was short of one meal. This KFC branch opened very recently, I think December 2007, so one would expect them to be on the ball. But this keeps happening! We live just out of town, and since the second or third time of it happening, we now check the order ourselves before leaving the premises, and EVERY time there is something missing! Today it was a grilled Twister Meal, and also one of the Colonel Burgers had a chicken breast WITH BONES IN IT on the burger - not a breast fillet. Prior to this branch opening, we also had problems receiving incorrect orders, from the branches at Vincent and Amalinda, in East London. Always something missing from the order, and when you phone to complain, you are told to just come back past either straight away or the next day, and they will give you whatever was missing. What's the point of that???!!! Surely KFC can do something about this bad service. To me it appears that the staff cannot take orders properly, or are in too much of a rush at times to get things properly done. And even though you have PAID for the KFC, nothing can be done when this type of thing happens.

Twickenham shop is terrible!
I am fed up of the KFC in Twickenham, it's the nearest one around here, there isn't one in Kingston where KFC continually advertise (maybe you should open up there!). I really enjoy KFC and always had a good meal except for in Twickenham.
The staff who are not of English origin (and excuse me for saying so can't speak it very well thus making orders almost impossible) are always harassing you trying to make you order more than you want which you don't get in the other KFC's I've been in and they're rude about it! Plus when you do order what you want they secretly try and make it larger behind your back then sting you when you pay then when you reject the order they shout you down and tell you to leave. You can never go in there and tell them what you want and get what you want without them pushing you, it makes it annoying beyond belief!
Today 24/03/08 I went in there, I was hungry but wanted something to tide me over till my evening meal nothing too large, so I ordered a regular popcorn chicken meal. Meaning I wanted a regular popcorn chicken, regular fries and regular pepsi. I ordered it and she acknowledged it (not before trying to make me go large). Well, then when she shouted to the guy over the counter for the popcorn chicken, she gave me a large pepsi and large fries and said "You have large fries and pepsi for extra 40p". I said I didn't want that and she said that it was a good deal again I said I didn't want it, I wanted it all regular she then tried to proclaim innocence and said "Sorry I didn't think you'd mind it". With that I just said forget it, give me the large fries and pepsi not without telling her if I came back again she best damn well listen to what I say.
At a previous visit with two friends we went in and all ordered the same meal, regular fillet tower meal. Again we got ruthlessly harassed to go large but we insisted we didn't want to. We got the meals as we asked. My burger was what seems in that particular restaurant the token "crap" burger with all the crap meat as opposed to the nice tender white meat you get in the other restaurants I've visited. One of my friends burgers was alright, nice white meat but they were stingy with the mayo. But my other friend had a diabolical experience. She likes to check her food first when she gets it from fast food places and good job she did as the burger wasn't cooked properly and was still pink on one bit. She took it back and showed them the uncooked bit and they "replaced" the burger or so they told us, on another inspection we found all they did was carefully remove the batter, cut away the uncooked part of the burger, replaced the batter to try and cover up what they did and gave back the burger! We all couldn't believe it! She took the burger back once again and told them that we knew this wasn't a fresh burger and all they did was get rid of the uncooked part. Then the abuse came from the staff, they refused to offer her a replacement and refused her money back. At this point we had, had enough. We hadn't really started eating our meals so we went to another place for lunch. If she had eaten that burger she could have gotten food poising. This is not acceptable and shouldn't happen!
Another complaint with this place is no matter when you go the fries are never cooked properly, they're always quite hard and they're always pretty much cold!
Also I've found it quite intimidating when sitting in there on your own. They are asian staff and if the restaurant is empty they play loud asian music and shout and sing. They even started clapping trays together at one point. Though I respect their culture and rights to listen to their own cultural music, respecting my rights to enjoy a meal in a respectable atmosphere is prime. And they didn't respect this at all.
This restaurant needs sorting out, it's all the staffs fault. If this place had good hard working staff that cared about the customers needs and cared about the food they were selling then it'd be a lot nicer to go to. I don't mind being asked if I want to go large but harassed into it and tried to be sold a bargain bucket when I only want Colonel's Meal is not right!

Old & hard chicken!
We ordered a twelve piece bucket of chicken, original, with side orders to go, around three o'clock in the afternoon on 3-05-08. When we got home, everything was cold and the chicken was hard and dry, like it had been sitting all day! I called the manager, Fernando Portillo, the next day and explained that the chicken wasn't eatable. He said they had an inspection that day so it couldn't have set all day. Mr. Portillo never apologized but said freeze the chicken and bring it back to him. I feel the integrity of this organization is going down the tubes. I am vice president of the company I work for so I understand upper management and its responsibility. I have witnessed a slow deterioration of Kentucky Fried Chicken in the last three years. What is happening in upper management? Step out of your office and go out into the field of you restaurant sites and make unexpected inspections. You have an excellent product but lower management is going to to be your achilles heel. Your customers deserve better than what lower management is producing in product and staff!!
A loyal customer for thiry years but not anymore.

Ordered Chicken,Attendent tol me the original will be 14 min. wait. Fine I waited 20 min. till she called my #. Went to the counter followed by a woman who entered the store three customers after I did. The woman told her her order was missing some extra sides. She pulled the side I ordered and placed other sides into her bag, the woman left. She then asked me what my order was when I told her it was the original , she said it would be a 14 min. wait. I then told her to that I had already been there 25 min. and was there before the woman she had just served. She then told me it would be another 14 min I then told her let me have my money, and left.

I bought some lunch and there was a piece of wood in the chips and they just look and laughed at me and gave me a small chips in return.
