Found caterpillar (larva/worm) in KFC chicken salad!
I bought a chicken salad and was dumbfounded to find a living caterpillar (larva/worm) in the salad. The person in charge only took my complaint and did not attend in any action such as refund or any other customer service action. Its scandalous that we pay for a product classified a high quality and high value to find that unhygienic food is being distributed and furthermore, very poor customer service.

Poor quality of service!
On the 2/03/08 My faliy and I went to buy KFC form Beetlestone road KFC in Gelvandale (Suburb) in city Port Elizabeth inthe Eastern Cape. We waited over a half an hour for our order even though we were in a drive through. (Temperature was over 30) Not only did we have to wait even though they told us it would take 10 minutes. They also misplaced our order and they was NO apology for this. They were busy but they should not misinform their public. They could have apologized for the delay. They should employ more people or get bigger premises to cope with the demand. This has been happening on more than one occasion. We have been supporting KFC for as long as I know but such service makes one not to want to support them any longer.

Poor service!
I ordered a pot pie. The clerk checked to see if they had any. Yes, they had one he said. I paid for it and waited. The clerk then tells me they didn't have any as I watched another clerk hand my pot pie to a guy behind me. It seemed they they had screwed up his order and left his pot pie out. If I wanted a pot pie I'd have to wait 15 minutes I was told without any apology and the clerk didn't seem really wanting to cooking more pot pies.
I know screw-up's happen - but when management makes no attempt to to make up for it, that's when I get mad! I canceled my whole $10.43 order. That's when things got worst. They didn't know how to handle the refund since I'd paid with a debit card. Finally they demanded my card again to reverse the charge. What's strange the final receipt I got doesn't show a reversal but another charge on my debit card! I didn't look at the receipt until I got home. If it shows up twice on my bank statement I'll contact a lawyer just for the hell of it, no matter what it cost me to draw their attention to their POOR service and management.
It appears I paid twice for a pot pie I didn't get! This is not the first time I've been screwed by this KCF store. Most times they don't get the order right the first time and I know to check it before leaving the store.
What really funny is that you can't find any where on the internet an email address for anyone at KFC in order voice your experience.
I guess they don't care!

Winning prize not received!
I was contacted in November 2007 to advise me that I have won an X-BOX WITH GAMES in the KFC SMS competition that was held earlier that month. I immediately saved the number on my cell, in case I need to refer back. Thanks to my gut feel I am now able to pursue this issue and would like to lodge a formal complaint. I was contacted by Lizelle from the number +27114310449 late November advising I have won a prize. To date (07/02/2008) I have received nothing. Lizelle referred me to Juan who deals with the prizes and I have been struggling for them to get back to me with a concrete explanation up until now.
I involved the Local KFC (Greenfields) with also no luck. Can somebody please get back to me urgently regarding this as I will not let this pass by without taking further action. I am entitled to receive the X-BOX AND GAMES which I was advised I will be receiving withing 6 weeks from the date of the call. This is unacceptable to say the least.

Terrible place to eat!
I went to the KFC fast food restaurant based in bradford town center (west Yorkshire) UK on Sunday 20th January 2008 at approx 12:21pm. while I sat down and ate my food I noticed a mouse run past my foot and towards the kitchen area. I and other customers were not happy. I then informed a lady who claimed to be the shift runner, her name was Samera Shokat. She told me that the restaurant had mice for some time and was also very rude.

Scam and fraud!
In Botswana KFC condiment packets claim to be a proud sponsor of SOS Children's Villages. Each time a customer buys food at KFC they are under the impression that their payment in some way helps SOS Children's Villages in Botswana - yet we receive NOTHING. We ask one of the managers - and she said she would "get back to us".

Insect in food!
Can someone please give me advice?? My complaint dates back to 31 March 2007. The chips I ordered at KFC Okovango branch in Brackenfell had an insect in it and when I took it back to the store, the assured me that Customer Services would collect it the next day for tests. I took photos of the chips as I wasn't convinced that the same chips would be sent for chips. They sent me a R60 voucher (that I have never and will never use). However, I heard nothing from them again with regards to the tests.
I phones the Call Center they use for their complaints and they said that they were still busy with the tests and the lady who answered said that coincidentally she is the person who handles the insect complaints and that she will sort it out. After hearing nothing from them for months, I posted complaints on Hellopeter website. They kept saying they would phone me, but never did. After having to make 3 complaints on there in a period of more than 3 months, I received a call from a guy by the name of Gary at the Call Center. He said according to him, the complaint was finalized as they sent me the pathetic R60 voucher and asked if I am the person who is continually making complaints on the website. I said yes!! - If they had phoned me as promised, I wouldn't have done that and that the voucher didn't mean it was finalized (What about the test they promised!!). He said that I should forget about it and that I will never receive the tests! He was even making light of the situations and when I asked to speak to his manager- he said that he is the manager. I then phoned the area manager (Morne) who was very polite and understanding. He asked me to send him the photos and that he would get back to me. HE phoned me a couple of months ago and told me again that the chips were lost but that they would do tests on the photos. He came back to me saying the photos weren't clear enough to be tested at the lab. He then gave me the nr of Nicci Rule saying that he discussed the matter with them at Yum Foods International. I sent her an email and she sent a very nice email apologizing and said that she passed the matter on to her staff as she is on holiday in Australia but that she would contact me as soon as she gets back. Her colleagues phoned me saying that they were going to do tests at the lab with a microscope and phoned me a couple of days later to say that the insect was unidentifiable and that the would send me the lab report. Two days later, the lab phoned to ask if they had sent the report. I said no and the lady said that she would send it. That was about a week ago. In the meantime I went to the actual store to ask to see the complaint logbook I had signed that evening as I wanted to see if Customer Services ever signed for collection of the chips ( you see- the two stories are contradicting- one says the chips were never collected and the other says they were collected but got lost) Anyways, I asked the new store manager, he went to the back of the store and after five minutes he came back saying the don't have such a thing as a log book!! (BUT I SIGNED ONE). He said that he spoke to the previous manager and she said they never had one. (I hope you see why I am even more worried at this point). Well, needless to say, I have never received the lab report and after 9 months of begging and pleading for answers, still nothing but contradicting meaningless stories. CAN SOMEBODY GIVE ME SOME ADVICE? I AM NOT LEAVING THIS UNTIL I GET SOME ANSWERS FOR THIS WHOLE MESS!!!

Terrible service!
On the 01/12/2007 @ roughly 8:00 – 9:30 I went to the KFC (corner Lenchen and Johnn Vorster Avenue) together with my friend and brother, when we reached the teller we asked her to approximate how much 2 barrels, 4 mash and gravy, 2 coleslaw and 6 chips would cost, she totaled it up on the system and it came to R378.80. thereafter she proceeded to pack the order starting with the chicken, after she had packed the chicken she came back for the cash and I had paid her R380.00. She Then proceeded to pack the rest of the order.
The attendant had given us 2 extra cloeslaw’s in error which I returned to her as this was the right thing to do.
I then took my Order and left KFC. As we were leaving the parking she ran to the car stating that we had not paid for the items, we then went to The store with the order and asked to see the manager who agreed that she would cash up the till in our presence to see if the cash was indeed taken. The assistant manager came out from the back area of KFC and without knowing what had transpired told us that we could not leave with the order until we paid for it. An argument ensued between us and the assistant manager and they retained the food that we had purchased, and they refused to do the cash up in our presence. Almost the entire staff got involved in the argument and not even the manager was level headed enough to just do the cash up ain`t order to settle the matter. Frustrated we proceeded to the Police Station to lay a complaint. While we were at the police station they received a call from KFC stating that 3 men were trying to rob the store and we were asked by the policemen to go back down to KFC and give a statement.
At KFC two police officers took down our statements and said that they could not do anything about it as they had no proof that either party was in the right. We reported the issue to KFC customer service Centre and we were told that the matter is under investigation and that they would get back to us. But until today no one has done so. As customers this is not the type of service we expect from an Internationally recognized Franchise. It stands to reason that the staff @ KFC are dishonest and would use any instance to their advantage in order to make a dishonest quick buck as they did not report the overage in their tills for that day.

Unfair labor!
My wife has worked there for 3 yrs... she finally mad shift manager and put in for her vacation and vacation pay. Recently, her store manager has a friend who started back there. My wife has had no write ups at all, then within 2 days with the managers friend working there she ended up with 7 write ups and demoted from her shift position, deducted .25 from her pay and they denied her, her vacation pay and now works maybe 6-12 hrs a week.
All the customers loved my wife, she was friendly and outgoing and would talk with the customers as if she knew them. After 3 yrs of service this is how they treated her... I will be in contact with the Labor Board on the matter or if someone out there knows how to deal with this problem let me know cause Id love to smack the hell out of her boss.
