What happened to KLP in Fairborn? It was such a warm and inviting place. The staff and children were happy and now it's like a waste land. The parking lot used to be full, now it's almost empty. No kids, whats left of the staff is unhappy and no one trusts anyone--and can you blame them? There is one comman denominator throughout all of the last eight years--the area coordinator. She is like a black cloud that no one can seem to get rid of and all she seems to accomplish is belittling people, running parents off, lying and manipulating others to do what she wants. You almost want to pat her on the back for single handly taking a really great place and ruining it. She has managed to accomplish in a relatively short period of time mistrust, anger and lack of confidence within the building and the community as well as with the parents. Why is she being allowed to continue? She has no interpersonal skills, she lacks any type of warmth for the children, compassion for the families or genuine caring for her staff. I have brought my children there for a few years and I used to tell everyone what a wonderful place KLP was...wonderful staff, kids laughing and a site supervisor that really cared about the kids and their families, not anymore. It is a sober atmosphere and staff is on edge and who could blame them? I have seen more turn over in the last year of so then I have ever. Something needs to be done quickly or you will be losing another parent.
