Terrible customer service
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Website unclear about color of toys - wanted a blue or green toy got a pink toy. Cannot give a fluorescent pink toy to a boy!!! Instead of being accomodating, they were incredibly inflexible, did not even offer an exchange! They just said website states "colors may vary" but there was no where to choose a color!
No customer service at all so just asked for a refund as didn't want to argue on the phone all day.
Let's see if they honor the refund!!!
Beware if you are ordering online from them and make sure you are specific with what you are ordering!

Online scam
They didn't ship to me the main item/reason that I bought from them. And the item is those backyardigan insulated cup which I cant get them locally. The rest of the items were books, which I added in to make it up to $100+ to receive $10 off & free domestic shipping.
Strangely enough those cups were listed in their Order Confirmation email to me, but didn't appear in the Ship list. It was under the Ordered List when I signed in their website under my account, but miraculously disappeared when the status changed to Ship. Too bad I didn't save a print screen of it. But who would, since we trust the system.
When I emailed them, they claimed that they don't see it listed in the Order List. They claim it was under the first order (in Jan, with a totally different order number) which I canceled. That backyardigans cups was the only item that remain constant in both orders, the rest was just 'fillers'. In fact this time around, I order 2 pcs of that cups since I have search the whole town and couldn't get them here.
To make things worse, they neither admit nor apologize when I forward them their own confirmation email which clearly listed those cup in there. In fact, they didnt address my query why is it listed in their email confirmation.
Even though I mentioned to them that those cups were the only reason why I bought from them, since I cant get it locally (and I promised my kid) and that I spent about close to another $50 for international shipping (via a freight forwarder), they remain indifferent.
They did offer a 10% discount off my next order, which I think is a joke when they are currently offering a $5 off every $50 purchase. Come'on. My maths is not that bad. They rejected my request for $25 voucher which I think is reasonable as I would have to pay again for the international shipping charges. It was their mistake in the first place!
Maybe because I am an overseas buyer and hence they do not think they need to appease nor apologize to me, since repeat order is unlikely, and hence concentrate on pleasing the local market instead.
Shame shame shame on you Kidsurplus!

Do not purchase from hem
